@byron-ih2ge the thing is that its more javanese culture intacted rather than a hindu thing. other than javanese, other ethnic groups like Sundanese, Palembang, Malay, Bugis, Banjarese, people also have some pre Islamic culture in their wedding ceremonies still practiced. its been there for generations since Indonesian people embraced Islam during the 14th century or something, and in those ceremonies there are Islamic prayers conducted in the wedding ceremony like Du'a, tahlil, namaz, etc, as though there are no practices going against Islamic sharia, its no problem. if you want to see real hindu wedding, then you can see a Balinese wedding.
fun fact, the only province in Indonesia which is abiding by Sharia is Acheh located on the northern tip of Sumatra (close to andaman nicobar), and despite an Islamic province of Indonesia, its province has a motto which is "Panchachitta" (5 goals) surprisingly in Sanskrit not arabic haha
