  2. For the last time (hopefully), Trump can't resign. It's no longer an option for him. If he resigns now, the feds will be on his heels before sunset. Either way, Trump is stuck in this for the long haul. The GOP could have saved him and themselves, if they had invoked the 25th amendment long ago, before all of these scams were uncovered, but they didn't. They didn't because they were too greedy. Now, the entire Republican party is trapped by this mess. Now, the world will watch as Trump does to The House exactly what he did to Congress, except Moscow Mitch will bow in fear of Trump.

  3.  @robm6726  That's the truth of all this mess. Republican's fear of standing up in public against Trump. In private, a lot of them hate Trump, but they are too afraid to say this in public. When Congress impeaches Trump, and it goes before The House, the importance of it will be that the world will finally witness the destruction of the Republican party. Will The House vote to impeach Trump? Not likely. But they will be on record, and that's more important than anything. They will be on record as defying the constitution by declaring that a President who commits bribery is above the law. And that will set the tone for democracy going forward...for every American.
