Unfortunately, the animations are almost always better than the content. Of course time is real, because movement is real. You could theoretically have time without movement, but you can't have movement without time.

Lewa500 You're talking nonsense, just like this video. Of course time is fundamental. There is no individual part of the universe for which time does not exist, therefore time cannot be an emergent property.

Lewa500 Why is time fundamental? ...Because change is a fundamental property of the universe. By definition, you can't have change/movement without time. Everywhere we look in the universe, things are in motion. If you can point to a place in which there is no movement, then I might entertain the idea that time is not fundamental. That doesn't mean I know everything. There are plenty of real problems out there that need solving, but this isn't one of them.
