  2. I've seen documentaries where Mongolians say they have no oral record of any of this history. Khan is an Indian title, not Mongolian.

  3. @Enhbayr Bilegt The whole thing seems bizarre that such a small amount of people could control such a large region on horseback. Modern day Mongolians don't seem very organized or threatening, although the Great Wall of China suggests the Chinese were definitely worried about invasions at one point in time.

  4. stella I'm not an expert at all. It just seemed odd that Mongolians that still live as nomadic tribesmen had no recollection of ever controlling an empire.

  5. stella If the Mongols had such a huge empire, what happened to all the wealth and did they build any lasting structures or did they just spend it all on fancy robes?
