  1. Why call it myopic? He's just saying things are in flux right now. You demand him to be farsighted when his point is that it is hard to predict what coalition will form?

I'm mostly socially libertarian, I believe in capitalism that is regulated intelligently to benefit the lower and middle classes, I believe in balancing high economic growth and low pollution, and I am hawkish and internationalist. Where do I belong? Am I really asking for something impossible from policy-makers?
