Very interesting to cover the emotional cost of war. Of course you have to kill the invader, but even going through that experience of mowing down the enemy in droves is traumatic. Some Finns, even some of my relatives, committed suicide after the war probably because it was so hard to bear the memory of mowing down hundreds of advancing Soviets/Russians with their machine guns. Today, I fear that a generation of Ukrainian soldiers, even though they may survive and maintain Ukrainian independence, will for the rest of their lives suffer from the trauma of killing so many of their neighbors, even though it is the right thing to do simply to protect your country.
