  1. The Spanish chassis works really well, the problem was the MOD adding way more weight to that chassis than it was ever designed for. Complaining that the Spanish chassis is the problem is like fitting a Challenger II turret to a Mini Cooper and complaining that the mini isn't performing very well... it was never designed for what we're asking of it

  2. ​​ @TheLastCrumb.  A lot of the stuff we've sent was in storage or due for decommissioning/scrapping soon, so sending it to Ukraine is saving us money anyway. Scrapping military kit is more expensive than people realise

  3. This is cheaper and easier to maintain, so we could have a larger fleet for the same money of an equivalent stormer fleet

  4. ​ @peterfeeney721 Royal Artillery operate our GBAD. I'm any case, the UK air defence doctrine centres around keeping an enemy at arms length thanks to Typhoon, and utilising the many NATO nations, and distance, between us and Russia, for example. Other nations bring the bulk of the GBAD and we provide the fighter element.
