This is to be expected. When all else failed to stop the rise of China, Taiwan surely becomes the last card left for the U.S. to play in the hope that China would take the bait like Russia did in the Ukraine. Japanese and Korean and Philippine troops plus perhaps Australian servicemen will become sacrificial lambs in a proxy war across the strait on behalf of the U.S.A. while American politicians muscle their strength to force their Western cohorts to place the severest sanctions on the Chinese nation. The U.S. reckons it is the only way to bring China to its knees with no loss of American lives and with an added bonus of making their military-industrial complex a lot richer from a war that is sure to blow the island province to smithereens. All the people on Taiwan should wake up to the bizarre "daddy" love from the leader of the world. Fingers crossed.
