@zoidberg444 yikes somebody shat in your cereal apparently. JS haters are so funny lol
12
I really wonder what kind of sad sad life the people that liked your comment must have...
4
@SahilP2648 that still isn't a JS problem. That exists in every language invented so far, but people just like hating on JS because they have nothing better to do.
4
@SahilP2648 dude, google GPT-3. Strong AI is already creating code from human language.
3
You're already living in it. Hell, you couldn't have written this comment without JS.
3
I wouldn't call it Stockholm Syndrome, I'd call it "I was an ignorant bellend before but now I realised the power of JS" Syndrome.
3
@SahilP2648 gpt3 can create entire websites and applications in any language based on text input lmao. Do some more research.
3
@Thomas_Lo nah I understand everything you said perfectly fine. You are a sad person living a sad life. I hope you get better.
2
@hanes2 Then that's not a JS problem you bellend. I love how nobody in this entire comment section has a single valid criticism of JS.
2
@hanes2 what about all the C programs that cause critical bugs and security problems? Are we going to ignore those, or are you just a bellend?
2
@Thomas_Lo It must be sad being you, constantly piping up others just to inflate your ego. Get a life, you sack of dirt.
2
Are people seriously saying that using JS is insecure? x) It's only as insecure as you make it. Hell, C and C++ are miles more prone to bugs than JS, yet you still see arrogant people using those languages everywhere.
2
@ekrem_dincel not every language is built upon C.
2
@welltypedwitch dynamic allocation of memory IS garbage collection...
2
@welltypedwitch sure. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C_dynamic_memory_allocation https://www.linuxjournal.com/article/6679 Anything that stays in memory after its intended use has expired is considered "garbage", and the C compiler has a built-in collector for this garbage, to stop memory leaks and to make life easier for the programmers so they don't have to allocate every single variable.
2
@welltypedwitch I'm sure you understand what GC means in OOPs, but GC as a general term also means that C has a garbage collector. If it didn't, you'd have to allocate memory to every (EVERY) variable manually. You kids think you're smart and have the position to school someone. You're probably hobbyist devs with no enterprise experience, so you should know your place and get off your high horse.
2
@xlSkyLinelx LOL, so tell me what a garbage collector is again? As I said, dunning kruger effect.
2
@SahilP2648 just so you know nearly 100% of all games have bugs. You have no idea what you're talking about, yet you're already becoming mad.
2
@dawidvanstraaten Nobody said JS is perfect, you're just seething :)
2
@xlSkyLinelx do you need to allocate memory to store a single integer in C? No, you don't. The garbage collector allocates and frees memory for you. The dunning kruger effect, everyone...
2
@dalethepalemale6855 #define 2 2.5 Lmao
2
@dawidvanstraaten Lol now you're just desperately trying to cherry pick shit you pulled out of your ass to make yourself sound more reasonable. All of those aren't problems if you know how to program and use JS.
2
@dawidvanstraaten that's where you're wrong. If JS really has no fans and is only liked because there aren't any alternatives, why are backends and mobile apps getting built using it? Because JS certainly isn't "the only option" for that. I love hoe nobody in this entire comment section has a single valid criticism of JS.
2
@andrew.r.lukasik says the seething infant :)
2
@ddd7386 all 3 are non-problems, and #1 and #3 are the same.
2
@andrew.r.lukasik you'd be surprised :) Stay mad.
2
@ddd7386 That's the thing though, TS is just a superset of JS. It's like somebody complaining about how frontend webdev doesn't have a good OO way to describe components and getting recommended React or Angular. Simple. Just to be clear, you shouldn't be using plain JS. 99% of the time you will be using Webpack+Babel (or alternatives) to build your apps, so using type systems, test and task runners, code transpilers and frameworks is pretty much mandatory.
2
You discovered JS now?? It has been running the world for the past few years :)
2
@dawidvanstraaten your birth was a con
1
@ddd7386 When we say Javascript, we really mean Typescript. Because nobody should use/is using plain JS anymore.
1
@ddd7386 if you need type safety, get typescript. If you hate node_modules, either install deno or get a bigger hard drive.
1
Correct, because humanity will go extinct in the far far away future, and everything will be running JS :)
1
@aronpop1447 doesn't matter. Just because you hate the language doesn't mean it isn't good.
1
Says the "script kittie".
1
No it's not, you're just reinforcing your own beliefs lol
1
@andrew.r.lukasik you better hope they don't find your comment, or else they will consider us as unintelligent life
1
1. JS is faster than Python and PHP and a whole bunch of other nu-langs. 2. WASM isn't a language. It will probably be even more error prone than JS is.
1
@payamism there's a reason c# developers are mentally blind
1
@xlSkyLinelx c and c++ both have garbage collectors
1
@xlSkyLinelx lol if you knew any better you would know I am correct. They both have overhead and they're not the best languages, far from it actually.
1
Yeah, well about that...
1
The slowest apps I've encountered so far are made in either Java or C/C++.
1
@calculandopoop5825 just like you are trying to invade other areas lmao
1
The ugliest comment ^ right here :)
1
You need to get out more.
1
@asafcohen3562 my point is very clear.
1
@SuperpositionOfBeavisAndButthead no it shouldn't. Go back to C you mongrel.
1
Ugly is subjective. JS is beautiful.
