  1. The US has too much strategic depth to be threatened militarily by anyone. Nobody is stupid enough to try to invade. Even if Russia took all of Europe and China took the far east it still wouldn't be possible. The idea that someone is coming for you is laughable. The only threat is a nuclear strike and a country would only do so if they felt sufficiently threatened.
