It depend on kind of mandate modi get in 2024, till than they won't touch any sector which become political issue, npa has come down dramatically under this govt which is big success story, if bjp get big madate in 2024 than may be i see pnb and other banks which are merged with it to go pvt sector

  3.  @JanardhanPrasadDVS  market is always fair when u have more such success story like hdfc, they will compete with each other to increasr their customer base thwy will target these customer, and don't forget priority sector norms imply on both public and pvt sector so ur argument of these banks not lending to farmers or msme, doesn't match with fact, if hdfc don't follow psl norms, rbi will impose heavy penalties on them
