Do you mean the expression "boots on the ground" when you were talking about the field research? Usually I never correct what you say because the "idioms" we can figure out. But sometimes when people can't, I do want to contribute to making the way you discuss things and sometimes getting it right makes it more impactful right out of the gate. It was like sitting down with a dad figure when you said what's the plan, and that people don't live forever. Your kids must be well raised and God knew they lucky to assign you to them. I can't imagine what I will be when my own parents won't be around and wish I had these types of conversations with them but they aren't those kind of (analytical type, etc) of people. 😢
