I am as always devastated by these senseless slaughters. The Republicans in the USA have taken the whole Second Amendment things to a bizarre level, creating a gun lobby out of the NRA. An Organization that once made gun safety and gun sports a family oriented thing, is now no more than a powerful lobby for gun makers and selfish politicians who place no real value on human lives with the exception of course being the unborn. Once born our children are sent to school where and an active shooter with a machine that serves no purpose others than to slaughter other humans may very well remove their little faces. That was a reality in Uvalde. Texas Republicans are now sending our children home with DNA kits so they faster identify the victims. This shooter, known for violence against the LBGTQIA community, used such a machine in this latest attack on that community. I am a bit at a loss of words, I mean to say what CAN I say to the survivors? The families and friends of the dead? Cry out to politicians and we are all met with the rights of gun owners. Statements are usually prefaced with me and my. MY rights, My family. What about the rights of these good people to assemble in a club built just for them because heaven knows the reactions they'd get dancing with one another any where else, right? They as any other American citizens SHOULD have rights, but we really don't. NO one is safe anywhere now. A Jewish Temple. A church. A store. AN FFFING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. No where. God bless the brave people who fought him down, as well as the brave who hid to save their lives, the living always have to tend to the injured and dying. To the bartender and the rest I offer hugs and much love with great sorrow.
