  3. I wouldn't overestimate this "poll" too much. These were mostly young people and on top of that half of them were afraid of express their attitudes anyway. As someone remarked, Russia herself isn't sure where her border lines are. They'll always try to get wherever they feel a weaker spot, russian or non-russian world. They have a long history of doing that and they never brought anything good to the occupied countries.

Afgan civilians were not targeted, only the islamist extremists and their training camps (who previously killed 5000 people with their hijacked planes in the US.) Or maybe you meant the earlier Russian agression in Afganistan that caused over 1milion civilians deaths? Irak's leader Saddam H. was an internationally known terrorist and dictator, who used chemical weapons against it's own people and who brutally attacked Kuwait, the friend state of the US. Libya's dictator Kadafi was an internationally recognized criminal and terrorist supporter, who among others ordered blowing up civilian airplanes.

On one hand I'm impressed that roughly a half of them aren't scared to openly disagree with the Putin's genocide agression against Ukraine, on the other hand it's pitiful the other half, mostly young people, show clearly the most dark and idiotic inclinations of the "russian soul", which are: looking down on others (based on the size of the countries in sq km), a complete disregard of suffering of others (that they even caused), notorious avoiding responsibility (I have nothing to do with this; we'll see how it all ends), an absolute inability to reflect any of their own mistakes; comically inflated notion about themselves (again based on the size of Siberia; because on what else?), blaming others for their own mistakes and creating this mystical evil called "the West" that has just one purpose in life and it is to destroy Russia, and, of course, sticking to any lie at hand, be it as absurd as possible, in order to look nice and avoid any doubts.

No way Russian people can still claim they don't know what athrocities and on what scale are being committed on the Ukrainian civilians in this war, including of course raping of women of all age. In Russia information may not be available, but still there is VPN so they can access the truth. Now the Russian looters want even more of the Ukrainian land. Whatever the outcome of this russian aggression will be, Russia has already lost. It will become totally isolated country on the same level as the North Korea.

  19. The Russian people just need to feel heavily the economic impact of the sanctions. The sooner the better and the deeper the fall the better. This will wipe out the smile on their faces when talking about a suffering neighbour country. And once they are whipped out of Ukraine and economically isolated, they can mumble any kind of crap about Nazism they wish. And even better, they'll have plenty of time to properly denazify one another.

The first significant blow comes at the end of this summer but the real fall not sooner than the beginning of the next year. Europe is well aware of the economic cost of the santions and is firmly determined to keep them anyway for years, if not decades. Why should nationalists come to power in Europe I really don't know. The economic impact on Europe will be at least 10x smaller than on Russia. Unfortunatelly, the only way to deter the fascist regime in Russia from terrorizing other countries is to make Russia very, very poor.

  22. ​ @incognito incognito I appreciate info from an insider, however, I have seen more of these videos and it's pretty apparent dozens and dozens of the respondents are afraid to talk about the war or politics at all. I know that myself as I am Czech and remember the times of the soviet installed and controlled communist power in Czechoslovakia before 1989. They didn't put necessarily everyone to jail for some criticism of the government.. they'd rather keep the evidence and use it later when they needed - to blackmail, to some coercion, or your children were kicked out of the school.. things like that. Only if you dared to criticize more times, that made a trial a sent you to jail for years. Well, if a regime kills it's regular opponents, kills independent journalists, basically chokes all political opposition, then, sorry, that regime definitely IS bloody. I think the West is pretty advanced in educating it's peoples to treat anybody as equal. It's not that common around the world and it wasn't there even in the West a few decades ago. (BTW, it was one of the ugly shocks of this war to see how so many Russians see Ukrainians as something lesser than them) I think your feelings of not being treated equally by the West exist more within yourselves. It probably has to do with some your slight imbalance that manifest itself as (a bit too bloated) feeling of importance, might and mesianity, regularly changing into a feeling of (a bit too bloated) feeling of inferiority and incompetence. Also, I think you made up this West Enemy deep in the communist times in order to divert attention of the people from the inner problems and for some reason this East-West polarity is so important for you even today. It's definitely not for the West. Of course, one must and should treat all other human beings as equal, but at the same time you just cannot have normal relations with people who support the most idiotic, unjust and unnecessary war you can imagine.

You don't need to be rich to be able to blackmail anyone with a mighty weapon.   27. ​ @baifububa  That's only because they blame the fall of the USSR for the troubled 90'.. But in reality the problems in 90' are a mere consequence of the decades of the communist rule. The people were like prisoners, who being released at once, didn't know what to do with their lives, got scared and wanted back to the prison of the USSR. The life under the communist rule was poor, horribly restricted and controlled, but there was no personal responsibility required and there were a few basic guarantees. People also longed for the former "stability" of the USSR, but that was a "stability" of a sick giant sinking into the swamp. There is no other way than to get rid of the dictator, to lift the iron boot of the neobolshevic state, to give people full freedom and let them learn to exist on their own.

  29.  @maxkvet1413  The big difference is that criminal act committed by us troops are normally prosecuted and punished by the court, while the atrocities committed by Russian troops are never investigated and never punished. There is nothing like real or even independent justice in Russia. US admit their soldiers commit a crime from time to time, Russia always denies everything. US never target civilians on purpose and very rarely by mistake, Russians proved many times they never care about civilians, and in this war they targeted so many civilian homes, bolck of flats and other non-military objects, that it's certain they do it on purpose. US do not attack other countries to steal their land, while Russia terrorizes it's smaller neighbours taking parts of their land.

  32. ​ @daark1799  Don't worry, the support for Ukraine is unbelievably strong in Europe no matter the political party or inclination. (Except for some 1-2% extremist parties, probably). It's not just the EU governments who supply Ukraine with everything, it's also most of the public who contribute huge amounts of money to support Ukraine too. People here are perfectly aware that getting rid of Russian gas/oil supplies will bring them some extra cost the next 2-3 years and are happy to do that for Ukraine. (and for their own future safety). If the Russian regime is now so fascistized that it even started an unprovoked, genocide war against it's neighbour, it can hardly be any worse. So the right way is to make Russia very poor. Then it can finance neither it's unnecessary wars, nor keep a strong and modern army.

  38. It's great none of them support nuclear bombing, on the other hand, it makes no change whatsoever as the Russian public has absolutely no influence on the Russian government. If Russians start to loose this war significantly and Putin decides to drop nukes on Ukraine, they just tell the Russian public that NATO used it first or that the dropped bomb was not Russian but American. (if you live in Russia) The sanctions are now so strong that it's basically an international isolation and it sends Russia in the direction of Iran or North Korea. Just wait a couple of years. The first heavier stroke comes in about 1 year and the fall will accelerate. Poverty, social chaos. As for the 8 years long war in Donbas, that's another example how many of you Russians use various fakes and half-truths to justify crimes milion times worse. First, the war took place on the sovereign territory of Ukraine the whole time. Russia kept feeding it with heavy weapons and soldiers. Second, very likely there were some athrocities commited there, but by BOTH sides. You always like to mention the extreme-right batalion Azov, but on the Russian side there was the extremist batalion Sparta, 7 times bigger than Azov (it's commander Arsen Pavlov boasted in the Kyev Post he personally tortured and killed 15 ukrainian hostages), batalion Somali (crueler that Somali pirates, hence the name) etc. etc. And be informed, that EU and US is also determined to help Ukraine to win this war, also no matter the costs. (And Russia is not economically strong in comparison to the West. The economy of the huge Russia is in fact even a bit weaker than the economy of the small Italy)

Breaking this leads to wars and the sole culpit of this horrible war is Russia. How can you "consider the referendum legal" on a territory taken by force, with thousands of opponents threatened and forced to leave. Even if the majority of Crimeans wanted to join Russia, this is not a legal reason for a militarily forced anexation.
