When will the anti-gun crowd gasp that by the time someone is ACTUALLY committing such a vile act as this... it is FAR too late to address what lead to that decision. 10K/1 odds there were a TON of signs ignored and by many!

He had some help from someone :( The most likely scenario is that when he was ostracized by his friends / family / peers... he sought out or met others because the same thing happened to them. I would not be surprised to hear, that others were "vicariously" living through this guy, as he was the most committed to doing what they thought would be a "blaze of glory" act. . We will probably find out that this guy was living the fantasy they wanted themselves and financially and in other ways supported his efforts.

It is like watching a person eat junk food and not exercise their entire life, then sue the medical establishment for not creating a pill to cure diabetes and heart disease when they are 65 yo! No doubt, people will look back and find a whole bunch of signs that showed very early on, this kid was having some difficulty fitting in to his society or family. Back when intervention could have given this guy a path to a healthy life, long before he spiraled down into what he felt was no way out. Society, particularly those on the left, seem to think if we just monitor these kids blog activity, we can remove them from the discourse, before they can spread their evil ideas. How about we ALLOW them to share these ideas, so people can reach out in the early stages and help him to see that he is not alone and there are ways to address what he is feeling? . It is just so damned frustrating to see the grandstanding like this and especially when it is IMMEDIATELY after an event, when people are just trying to address the grief and anger of it all. Political opportunists are the WORST!

Bravo, Sol... you are exactly correct :) There is this need to "erase" a person's thoughts that were present PRIOR to what we later find out to be a tragedy of MASSIVE proportions, rather than allow them to be known by all. I would GUARANTEE had all of his information be seen, a mega sheet ton of people, psychiatrists, counselors would point out all kinds of signs that were missed. . Then guess what... those "signs" would be more widespread and we would all be more in tune to recognize them and intervene LONG before it got as bad as it does for people who do the horrendous acts. . When was the last time remaining ignorant led us to the answers we seek?
