  5.  @rubecork7102  Amen! The difficulty most have, is oft times a condition of social media and the anonymity it provides. We have become "separated" from each other by ones and zeros and many years from now, studies will bare out the results of social media on society and it WON'T be pretty :( For reasons that ultimately lead back to he values with which someone was raised, far, far, far too many find it acceptable to be a complete arse when it comes to expressing a difference of opinion. Such discourse will cause a visceral response in nearly all cases and then a reply in kind. Since outrage has proven to get more "clicks", we have platforms like Twitter, IG and others that essentially promote such discourse. Because of how fast information is exchanged, the limitation of characters to express that information and, most importantly, the lack of discipline readers have to digest the info and FOLLOW UP WITH SOME ACTUAL RESEARCH to varify authenticity of the comment, we resort to horrible discourse. . I don't have an answer for anyone but myself. I do my best to not only confirm what I read, but often read the ENTIRE comment 2 or 3 times, to help curb some visceral response the initial reading may have generated. I VERY often find that a second reading, shows that I missed a nuance or detail that completely changes my initial reaction. I cannot say how many times doing this has saved me from writing a very strong, but still respectful, disagreement with someone and would have been completely wrong! I have at times written something poorly and another has asked for clarification, because they took my meaning in a way which I did not intend. This has happened more than once over the years and I am always thankful to that person for giving me the opportunity to clarify. . I have also had a "rocky" start with a replying to a comment and both of us continually reaching for common ground. To look past what we thought was ignorance, bias or whatever to find that we both learned something from each other and ended up having a really great exchange. We both hung in there and gave benefit of doubt to one another and became interweb besties :) I have also found, that I tend to write quite long replies, as it is the details that give context and express nuance and is very difficult to get into 280 characters.

  13.  @gastronomist  ... he he :) OK, makes sense now. I did not make the connection to Daily Wire... lol Ya, I won't make excuses for someone complaining, but it is exceedingly difficult to be a conservative in media these days and not point out all of the ills thrust upon our nation by the leftists. With all of the values and ideals under full-assault by the SJW's, the Dem's and mainstream mediocre, I sometimes feel like guy in a carnival game in which I am on one side of the room and there are 15 people on the other all throwing baseballs at my head! Spending all this energy trying to get out of the way and unable to go on the offensive to actually stop the madness. . I am not in media, but I am a libertarian / conservative and everything I hold dear is under attack right now and I am nearly powerless to do anything about it. I have become mod of Unsafe Space and has given me an outlet to speak to a live chat audience and been reaching out to build that audience further. There are an INSANE amount of people who are pushing back against an INSANELY few amount of people currently rampaging our cities. Of course, the Marxist scholastic institutions are the ones who indoctrinated them with hatred of all those things I hold dear, but that is in many ways the much bigger issue than the violence in our streets. . I am not at all downplaying that violence, but unless we get rid of those that have been indoctrinating our youth, the cycle will continue on or just repeat itself in the future :(

  14.  @kurarisusa  ... OMG, just a day or so ago, this thread crossed my mind. This thread has generated more response than anything else I had ever said on YT by light years. There are now 251 replies and I had followed each and every one and probably responsible for 35 of its comments. As for your comment here... yes, absolutely! The leftist feels he / she possesses the moral high ground and since some words are considered "violent", responding with actual violence is a 100% acceptable response. This is why BLM and SJW's indoctrinated in the idiotology feel completely justified in attacking and sometimes killing anyone from a small child (remember the two teens that knocked the MAGA hat off of that 6 yo's head, probably 2+ years ago?) Or, just this past week when the Amazon delivery driver attacked the elderly woman, because of her white privilege? . Of course, I haven't even mentioned the 9 months of rampaging attacks on literally ANYONE in eyesight that left 34 people dead, hundreds of millions of dollars damage and who knows how many businesses destroyed. This whole thing sickens me... just sickens me :( Now we are finally getting real push back on the evils of CRT and those who were asleep all this time thinking that Orange Man was the real menace, are beginning to see that this admin, along with the Progressive party are the true evil of our day. . If you are curious to see how much denial the SJW faces, open the replies to this comment, beginning from the very first one. Most who replied were engaged and on the side of being human, but there are a few that are just those lost souls and, like you just said... believe in the cult. Logic, common sense, reason and facts just have no place in response to what they think, because they possess the moral high ground!

  15.  @ywiitter1177  .. you speak for the overwhelming VAST majority of not only people in the United States, but most of the world. There are certain groups of people who absolutely DO kill gays just for "being" and we both know who they are. Sadly, the SJW cult has redefined some VERY visceral terms for their own evil purposes and those definitions have become "mainstreamed" in to societies vernacular. . EDIT: The term "racist" has been re-defined as "power + privilege" by the SJW and is the foundation in which they wield it. However, the accepted definition of racism is STILL held by EVERYONE else. So when the SJW says "so 'n so is a racist", those not following all of this closely, apply the ACTUAL label of racist to the accused. Unless they research the details of WHY that person was accused of this, they take it as face value and are quick to disassociate. This is how the SJW takes what can be a minuscule disagreement over something and EASILY manipulate an individual, business, corporation or entire group of people cough whites cough to be seen as racists. . They have taken over our scholastic institutions and even the long held belief that Miriam-Webster is the go-to for a definition that is unknown to someone. Since racist has become the term du jour, for anyone that opposes even the most minor, inconsequential item with in the SJW cult of ideology, we now have what they would describe as 300 million white supremacists in America that deny a trans persons right to exist and must be "cancelled" from life itself.

  21.  @goober69er  I would argue that while the radical or alt-right certainly exists, they are denounced by, well... everybody, so they make no headway into anything mainstream. No doubt they have meetings and secret "we don't talk about Fight Club" websites and some are very likely part of Antifa, as they both have similar aims. However, the radical, extreme or alt-left, is most definitely protected by media. They will claim they are not, but only because they either don't refer to Antifa at all or lump them in with...uhem, "peaceful" protesters. . The very last thing Antifa are is neither peaceful nor protesting... they are terrorists, pure and simple. They are 100% fascist, so how they are falling under the radar of the left as anti-fascist is a fucking joke. Yes... the proud boys absolutely get unfairly targeted, because the Dem's and media edit video to ONLY show how the Proud Boys responded to violence perpetuated upon them by Antifa. Add to that leftist prosecutors, judges, mayors and other city officials and we see members getting 10 year prison sentences for giving a beat down, while Antifa VERY regularly swings bike locks and heavy weapons at civilians they run down, set vehicles and property on fire and absolutely terrorize ANYONE who gets in their path. That includes little old ladies and men in walkers just trying to cross the street. . Imagine for a split second if we saw someone NOT protected under the wings of Democrats or mainstream mediocre was to do what we saw Antifa do to that elderly couple in Canada last year. The media would have had that video lead on EVERY newscast for weeks on end and the Demoncrats would have launched a full-scale investigation into "the extreme alt-right terrorizing our citizens". But since it was most clearly Antifa... they don't say a God damned thing and those that follow ONLY such media for their news, have no idea that it even happened at all. . Those on the libertarian / conservative side absolutely showed that video, but what does big tech, YT and Google do...? shadow ban such channels and websites, then turns to their buddies Patreon to claim "violation of terms" BS and takes away MASSIVE amounts of income to those creators. Now, they have to fight for their lives to even get a job, so they sure as hell aren't going to spend their resources making sure others see such videos of Antifa terrorism. . Over the last couple days, Patreon is beginning to reap what they have sewn and there are MANY, MANY left leaning and leftist creators who's income are now under direct threat, as Patreon may be forced to close over litigation costs. . We will see where this all goes, but even with the GOP being useless as tits on a boar hog, those on the "right" side of history are beginning to break through :)

  23.  @Player_Review  ... another well spoken reply here... The Kitty digs it! :) Yes... we have not spoken of the VERY likely influence and direct action by those countries who would see American burn. A present though, such discussions in open dialog fall subject to "conspiracy theories by the alt-right". Sadly, this is just one more example of how insanely organized (and incredibly lucky) the left is and has obviously been planning ALL of this for many, many, MANY years. Much of that cannot be attributed as luck, because the Dem's have mainstream mediocre on their side and they are as evil as a millennia is long :( . With all of the "Russiagate" then "Eukrainegate" and "Trump is a Puppet of China" bullshit, it has become impossible for conservatives to indicate a very likely scenario of foreign interference in our Nation. This is like that movie when the bad guy just keeps forwarding his nefarious plans for world conquest and every time the protagonist is always just that one step behind and he gets away with it ... AGAIN! >:( . Thank you for your kind words of ego stoking :) No, my mom is not radicalized, per say, but has an INSANE case of TDS. I keep chipping away, but at some point her protective mechanism kicks in and she becomes inconsolable and begins actually physically shaking with distress (not exaggerating here!). I love my mother and will continue to gently chip away around the edges and my brother and I will finally get through to her. I fear that it is gonna take that "bus" event to break though though. . On your closing line (that is two users in a row with good ones - see @Adam just above). Yes, I have heard that line and like all stereotypes, there is always a bit of truth in them. There most certainly is a connection between the liberal ideals of youth and the conservative values of the more... seasoned... lol . While I have always been somewhat conservative, I too was focused on that "idealism" of youth. But, just like most everyone who lives outside of an information bubble, I have come to understand that the idealism of youth is not shared by all and most certainly not by some VERY powerful countries whom occupy this earth and would like to see America fall.

  25.  @Player_Review  [looks frantically for option to "red heart" this comment] :) . Everything was very well said and I must admit, I was a bit defeatist yesterday :( Was the culmination of several things, but I was pretty pissed about the state of things. We are literally watching everything in which I believe about this nation under attack. One half of that nation is seemingly either not paying attention or they are entirely deceived by mainstream media and my own mother falls into that camp. She knows it is ugly, but she thinks this is all about how racist we are as a nation and has NO IDEA of the socialist plans the leftists have for America. . I do deride the partisanship, but I wish I was able to be more equal in holding blame to both the GOP and Dem's. We both know that what the Dem's are not directly doing themselves, they either completely agree with BLM, Antifa and the SJW's or they are too weak to speak out against their own party. We can see that such fears are not unfounded, as one only need look at ANY Democrat that goes on CNN, MSNBC or is editor of the NYT's to see the shit-storm of attack for speaking up. I Pray that a Democrat of HUGE influence finally says that enough is enough and grabs the The House by the proverbial neck and shakes some sense in to it. Unfortunately, ALL of those with such power and influence are  100% committed to Orange Man Bad and has completely blinded them to any sense of moral obligation to America and the values it was founded upon. . Speaking up is what MUST be done by the moderate Dem's, as the Demoncrats in The House instantly dismiss ANY criticism coming from the right. Of course, they see the Alt-right as a person who is 1 degree to the center of Nancy Pelosi! I keep waiting for the event of such an egregious nature that even BLM or Antifa stop and examine their actions. To this point, no such line has been crossed. . I feel that there will be the destruction of some monument or an explosion that kills a bus load of children or something SO INCREDIBLY horrifying, that even the mainstream media will say this is enough. The catalyst that catapults us BACK from the catalyst that launched this whole thing. Sadly, I feel it will take that bus full of children all captured on video of the body parts of 5 yo kids flying through the air and the mother screaming over the dead body of her child. That image similar to girl in the Kent State photo that just viscerally reaches EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THIS WORLD and freezes us all in our tracks. . The visceral response we all had watching George Floyd being killed at the hands of police, but as a wake up call to stop this fucking madness :(

  28.  @mollyfrommichigan5966  sadly... there will ALWAYS be such attitudes :( That does not mean we need to just accept that Uncle Bob is a bigot, but we have 330+ million people in this nation and bigotry / racism is bred... NOT BORN! While certainly there are those who develop such attitudes via experiences they have, most of them have such bigotry learned from parents. . What we see so blatantly now, is parents recording video of 3 yo children struggling to hold up a "F*** THE POLICE" cardboard sign then being coached to repeat that phrase to the adoration of his parents and friends. I am not saying that some white parents don't do the exact same thing with "F*** THE N******", but there are two VERY distinct differences between them. First... this is broadcast on mainstream social media and seen by millions upon millions of people in the matter of 24 hours. That number of "clicks" is very attractive for a VERY large number of people and they are gaining what they believe to be social currency. . The second issue is acceptance. Had such a video as that young white child been broadcast on the news just 10 years ago or today, the OVERWHELMING vast majority of those who saw it would be up in arms and be disgusted by such behavior from parents. Today.... that little black child is openly celebrated by WAY, WAY, WAY too many people and is nothing short of child abuse... PERIOD! Imagine setting your child up for such failure? Send him / her out into the world believing that it is NOT POSSIBLE to get ahead, as whitie is always around the next corner to put you down and the police literally HUNT BLACK PEOPLE FOR SPORT! . Not only is this a complete and absolute fucking lie, it is perpetuated by the Dem's, mainstream media and the SJW's currently on a rampage in many parts of this country.

  35. This thread has produced 133 replies and just like the current state of politics has become tribal and lost focus: My OP: . Ben is orthodox Jew. Completely opposed to gay marriage, yet good friends with Dave Ruben who has a husband. The Leftist claim tolerance, but would NEVER befriend a conservative . Let's break this down, shall we?: 1. Ben is an orthodox Jew : This orthodoxy simply put does not accept a person being gay as a sexual relationship is to be between a man & woman 2. Completely opposed to gay marriage : We could pick this apart, but is a simple way to say that Ben has issues with two members of the same sex engaging in sexual conduct. ....Now, regardless of specific language used or semantics I used, it is a simple way to explain that the "human being" Ben Shapiro has some major issues with gay relationships. 3. yet good friends with Dave Ruben who has a husband : What is "good friends"? we all define differently, suffice to say, they are 100% cordial and here Ben is at ....Dave's house having a pleasant conversation about politics and social issues. Those issues are completely intertwined and the conversation takes no issue with Dave being gay ....or Ben having an issue "making a cake" or "going to his wedding". Those are not relevant issues here, as neither Dave nor Ben define their friendship over who they have sexual ....relationships with. Ben has said that he would be happy to have Dave and his husband over to the Shapiro home for dinner, but his religious doctrine precludes him from going to ....a wedding between a same sex couple. I personally define this as "good friends", but describe it however you like. 4. The Leftist claim tolerance : This is where much of this thread has broken down, IMO. The term "leftist" is a common term that is used to describe a politically left leaning person ....who is on the far end of that political spectrum and often referred to as "progressive". The term "progressive" is supposed to be a positive one and meaning forward thinking and ....accepting society as it has become and outside of the "conservative" definition of how that society should be built. The accepted conservative definition of society is built on ....what is derived from the bible. This is a basic reference to the era in which the Ten Commandments were written. 5. _ but would NEVER befriend a conservative_ : The term "leftist" or use "progressive" if you like, is certainly a derogatory term, as "Progressives" continually say they are "inclusive" ....of ALL people. Gay, black, white, trans... you name it. The SJW is using the basic principles of the Democratic or liberal party, but twisting it into what can ONLY be described as .... a cult. The SJW has taken to redefining a shit-ton of words, but let's just focus on "racism". Since I am referring to the SJW in this part of my OP, this is where much of this ....conversation has gone astray, IMO. Racism does NOT mean "power + privilege". This is a complete lie, as it means to judge one based on his / her race and deem that race as ....inferior or superior because of their race. THAT is the basic definition of "racism" and how the world has defined it for 10,000 years. That definition is used by the SJW to define ....nearly every single person who has ANY disagreement with it's ideology and deem that person as "racist". This term is interchanged with "white supremacist" "homophobic" ...."xenophobic" and all other descriptive words that tell the listener, "this person has very narrow views of society and intolerant of one who does not follow the teachings of the ....bible" Simply put, as I am not a religious scholar :) While the SJW keeps using terms of "inclusive", they and those I describe as "leftist", have ZERO tolerance for Ben Shapiro, ....because they just put him into the box of "evil". There is no conversation allowed in the world of and SJW, you either believe 100% of what they say or you are a "racist" and so ....on. The SJW has also deemed Dave Rubin as all of those terms, because he has merely associated with people OUTSIDE of who the SJW deems as acceptable. Acceptable is ....ONLY defined by the SJW and is re-defined continuously based on the moment. The SJW cannot be called "tolerant' as Dave Rubin has been deemed an evil person, because he ....associates with people who are not SJW's. I could pick apart and destroy SJW cult, but since I would offer disagreement to the conversation, "cancellation" is the only answer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now, what I have done in the above is freaking RIDICULOUS, yet many in this thread have gone WAY beyond what was said or meant with the original post. Ben and Dave have many significant political differences and one very distinct one, that have traditionally precluded a conversation like we see in the above video. However, they are having that conversation, because they can see beyond those differences and work toward a common goal. The SJW or leftist will NEVER discuss anything with either of these men, because they don't "bend the knee" to the whims of SJW cult. That makes the self-proclaimed "inclusive and tolerant" SJW, exactly the opposite. If you DON'T think SJW is a cult, just take a look at the "peaceful" protesters who want to KILL every police officer in this country... no exceptions.. they are all deemed EVEL... period!

  40.  @beesdontlikeit  You are not listening to me :) I have given you a VERY clear definition of whom I am referring and by the definition I am using. There is a clear distinction between "Left" and "leftist". Now, you may not agree with that distinction and it appears that you don't, but that is 100% fine. However, having made that distinction to frame my position, it is a failed argument on your part to conflate the two so as to support your assertion that I am generalizing the left...that is pure BS. . I follow ALL media, but do my best to avoid propaganda. That is EXTREMELY difficult, when one consumes CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WaPo and most mainstream media, as they have become left-leaning bias to an absolutely absurd degree. I have no issue with media that has a biased point of view, as it is not possible to avoid bias, as we all have them about varying things. However, when the bias of ANY news organization has become so accepting that it becomes the "facts" of an event, that is when I can no longer follow, because the reporting has no objectivity remaining. . If I had the time or inclination, I could LINK for you a thousand articles of pure garbage passed as "fact" by leftist new organizations (see "leftist" as I define in earlier comment), but I will give to you one that perfectly describes how widespread and bad it gets.... "Covington kids". The media intentionally and will extreme malice, painted those kids, and most specifically, Nick Sandmann as a racist and bigot. . I don't fear a "boogyman" in leftist media, I fear those who believe the trash they sell is true!

  46.  @mellowtron214  ... Well, we are getting more into discussing semantics and that can only lead us astray... lol . Yes, we are speaking in "general" terms here. There are most certainly exceptions to EVERYTHING any of us have said in this thread. But, we are all adults and to constantly qualify every single statement with.... "I am generalizing here and don't speak for 100% of all who consider themselves FILL IN THE BLANK politically affiliated" is, or rather should be beneath the level of discourse we are having here. . Yes... I am thankful that the extreme die-hard leftists are a "minority", when it comes to actual numbers. But, when we look out the window or see the events unfolding all over this nation and most specifically, Portland, we can see that minority is on 100% full attack against EVERYTHING upon which this country was built. The Constitution, The Bill of Rights, The Declaration of Independence and The Ten Commandments are under MAJOR ASSAULT and this cannot possibly be denied by ANY person who actually sees what is happening in this nation. . While they are a minority, they have nearly full support of mainstream media, those in academia, Democratic mayors / city leaders and the Democratic party. There are certainly MANY in each of those groups who are VERY MUCH OPPOSED to what BLM, Antifa and others are doing, they are absolutely SILENT! They are silent because they are either spineless or in the vast majority of cases, fear retribution by the outrage mob on Twitter. We saw only last week that the NYT's was planning to run an article exposing the town in which Tucker Carlson lives. We absolutely know that such information will be read by supporters of BLM and Antifa and begin to track down the specifics of where Tucker Carlson lives. They will absolutely and without shadow of a doubt, search public documents of town records and figure out his home address. Antifa and or BLM will without question show up at his house and threaten him and his family, because they disagree with his politics. This is a fear tactic and the leftists have no issue stooping to this level. . While there are a handful of those on the alt-right who would do something similar, they are nowhere near the numbers of those on the left they would be 100% denounced by the GOP. We cannot say this about the Dem's or mainstream media. . Now, you and I are very likely in agreement about nearly all of this and most likely you did not me to say all of the above. However, there are many in this thread who would say that I am "fear mongering" or "an alt-right extremist", but I am neither of these things. I am a libertarian / moderate conservative who 100% believes in the founding principles of the democratic party. From there, we will differ in many ways politically, but I want us ALL to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

  47.  @QueenJneeuQ  I guess to this one specific instance, that word would be applicable to some. I, however, wont use that word, because it is to all encompassing a term, IMO. . Every single person reading this has bias or preference in one way or another about something. You may be 100% fine with gay and lesbian, but take issue with someone going through transition surgery. Does that make you a bigot or just having a line of which you no longer approve. To me, I draw the line of "bigot" in terms of how one feels or treats the subject in question. If you were as I described above, but did not "hate" or show anger / malice toward someone who transitioned, but rather just did not approve, would that make you a bigot...? to me it would not. I see bigotry as in malice or hatred in ones heart, not disagreement on how another makes life choices. . Such terms are too broad and is one of my biggest issues with the SJW cult. The thinking, as evidenced by countless attacks on social media, cancellations and absolutely vile assaults of both physical and psychological attacks on someone for disagreement is insane. Earlier in this thread I used the former Democratic Pete Buttigieg as an example of how the "gay community" (SJW's who have decided they speak for LGBTQ people) said he was not "gay enough" to run for president. Imagine that... the first openly gay person to EVER run for the office of president and he was "cancelled". . Was this the act of self-righteous activists who are 100% convinced they know what is best for the "gay community" or bigotry? It was damned sad, that is for sure :(

  50.  @colmodwyer9352  .. maybe he does, but it is his right to feel that way. Just as it is your right to be for that marriage. The idea of 1a and freedom in general, is to see that ALL rights are observed and protected. Since many, including Ben, believe the fundamental function of marriage is to procreate and two same-sex people cannot possibly do this, he is opposed to it. He does not want gay people to die, be sent to jail or re-education camps to "be straight", he just doesn't agree with gay relationships. As mentioned earlier, I have zero issues with gay relationships or marriage, but I respect his right to disagree with me and I am a Ben Shapiro fan and sub his channel :) . EDIT: I believe that the biggest hurdle here is the word "marriage". Since marriage is spoke of in the bible and in the context of a man and woman, that SPECIFIC word has a vastly spiritual meaning and goes back what, 10K years? The crux of this argument for a HUGE swath of religious persons, is the use of "marriage" in the biding of two same sex persons. One can argue that gays have a right to marriage, but since that word is so integrated into the bible and its teachings, it really cannot be separated. Many see the term "marriage" as a religious bond and hence many are just not going to approve of "gay marriage". . We can fight about this for the next 10K years and ONLY way most churches are gonna be OK with this, is if a word other than "marriage" is used to bind a same sex couple. Call that unfair if you like, but you are pushing against 10K years of those who follow some version of the bible and good luck trying to change their minds.

  53.  @matthewdavis3014  A. you do understand their are exceptions to every rule, right? B. The definition I am using for "leftist" may differ from yours. The "leftist", often called an SJW and I agree with that assessment, is also sometimes called a progressive. I personally use it as a derogatory term for an EXTREME left-leaning person who is entirely incapable of thinking outside of the cult. The cult says that you can be all for LGBTQ, but if say the following... "A woman is a biological female and a man cannot become a biological female" and you are "denying trans peoples right to exist". That statement is 100% fact, BTW. . If you believe a man CAN become a biological female or argue is NO difference between a male and female, you are a "leftist" as defined above. I have defined it in earlier comments within this thread as well. If you also are friends with a conservative, I have a couple things to add. You are the exception to the rule and you had better not go on Twitter and admit this to your circle of friends. It has been well documented that even commenting on a thread of a conservative, will make you guilty by association and likely get the outrage mob to target you for cancellation. If that sounds harsh, you are damned right it is harsh and I know of plenty of people who were convicted of "wrong think" by the SJW or "leftist" and been assaulted, harassed, had their place of employment bombarded with messages and phone calls saying that person is a racist and lost their jobs. They have been doxed and otherwise been VERY badly financially harmed, because of political disagreement with the SJW. The SJW cult is pure EVIL and it knows only how to destroy and nothing about actually sitting down with opposing points of view and discussing possible compromise or understanding of the nuance or context in a given argument. . However, if you are willing to "openly affiliate" with a conservative and you have multiple pronouns in the bio of your social media accounts, you had better not invite that person to your like minded friends house for dinner... lol . NOTE: Conservative: Not someone who is slightly to the right of Nancy Pelosi, but a moderate conservative, such as Ben Shapiro. Anyone who thinks Ben Shapiro is Alt-right... is most definitely a leftist

  54.  @Player_Review  ... There is a lot to unpack there, but will give it a go :) . Yes, the idea of "tolerance" was absolutely omitted from the WOKE handbook, as was discussion, debate, conversation or acceptance of ANY view other than its own. I do see the SJW ideology as not only a cult, but it is absolutely EVIL! The moderate Dem's, and their certainly are, have no spine, because they are afraid to speak up against the outrage mob. Even the very left leaning Nancy Pelosi stood up against the squad initially and said she would NOT attempt impeachment of Trump, as their was ZERO bi-partisan support and such an act would be very divisive for the nation. She was absolutely correct, but caved because she is weak. . Then, Pelosi went serious for impeachment 2 more times while STILL having nothing to stand on, except Orange Man Bad and the Dem's forced a vote. Everybody with a microscopic brain knew it was gonna fail, but they just want a black mark on Trump. This leads us to everything else the Dem's are doing. They have NO strategy for anything, they just want to hurt Trump, so they resort to the most insanely petty BS imaginable and just keep throwing everything, including the kitchen sink up against the wall to see what sticks. Well, nothing has stuck, but that doesn't stop them and THIS leads us into mainstream media. . I would argue that the mainstream media is 100% as evil as the SJW, but in many ways they are even worse. Since they back 100% of ANYTHING the Dem's do or say, it has emboldened them to go for impeachment like 6 times (3 times quite serious) and keep looking for that one thing to "stick" on the wall. We have heard the Dem's call Pres. Trump a racist, white nationalist, xenophobe, bigot, sexist and literally every single negative slur they can think of, yet offer ZERO to substantiate any of it. Well, they may be able to make a case for being a lousy husband or objectify women, but unfortunately, that is all too common with very rich and powerful men... sad, but true. . The thing is, one cannot find evidence of racism and all the rest, because THERE IS NONE! They take EVERYTHING he ever says out of context and lie about everything else. Hell, I could go on for about 200 more paragraphs, but my computer will run out of ink before I get them all down.... lol . The GOP is every bit as weak as the moderate Democrats and Trump is the ONLY thing between BLM, Antifa, the SJW's, the Demoncrats, big tech, all social media and the mainstream mediocre... did I forget anybody? The Constitution, The Bill of Rights, The Declaration of Independence and Ten Commandments are under FULL ASSAULT right now. Trump is the last line of defense before it is all destroyed by the leftist being allowed, even supported by many people in VERY powerful positions. If he loses in November, this country will absolutely go to full gun fighting in the streets civil war. There are what, 200m fire arms owned by American citizens and like 12 quantillion rounds of ammo and the 2a members of this country, WILL take a stand against socialism. Socialism is what the leftist wants and I would rather be dead than live under a socialist America.

  60.  @InqvisitorMagnvs  ... What in the hell are you talking about? I am not here saying that gay people have not had a very difficult time getting to where the are today, in terms of acceptance. Nor am I making excuses for anyone who treated gays so poorly at any point in history. What I am saying is that we, as humans have evolved over time and the overwhelming majority got over the bigotry and hatred of gay people and we as a nation are much better off for it. Are there still some who don't like gays...? Absofreakinglutely! we have 330+m people in America and you will NEVER see it bigotry, racist, white nationalist, homophobic or xenophobic 100% free as a nation.. EVER. Guess what, people are free to hate gay people all they want, they are just not allowed to physically assault them or discriminate against them, based on being gay. Will some find a way around that and still not hire them for a job or fire them if they discover they are gay..? YES! Some people are just NEVER going to be OK with gay people and that is just not going to change. . What I am getting out of the @InqvisitorMagnvs statement is what I hear from the SJW's as an argument to "cancel" a person or group. Since at one point the GOP were VERY much anti-gay in nearly all ways, so was a massive amount of Democrats, libertarians, communists, socialists and fascists at one point. The SJW will argue that since this is the case, any such "group" who was anti-gay, is forever guilty by association and is therefore irredeemable. Guess what, Trump is the VERY FIRST president to ever enter office and be pro-gay marriage on the day he was inaugurated. That's right... Obama, Clinton and 100% of every president that America has ever had, was ANTI gay marriage when they entered the White House. . The vast majority of people in ALL of the groups I mentioned above, have come to understand what the gay people were saying from the start. They are just like everyone else, they just happen to be romantically attracted to persons of their own sex. One of the often irrational fears we possess as human creatures, is to fear what we don't understand. That fear has historically caused people to respond in ways that seemed rational at the time to most, but many times proved to be wrong as we came to know or understand what it was that we feared so badly. Those who are not gay, including myself, simply cannot understand what it is like to be gay and that "unknown" was enough to instill an irrational fear in far too many people and the gay community payed dearly for it. The acceptance of gay people has come LIGHT YEARS from those early days and some of it was triggered by AIDS, as it was killing people and they were nearly all in the gay community. We don't hear about AIDS much at all anymore, but I remember the fear of not knowing ANYTHING about it, except that those who got it died a very slow and painful death. That fear made it MUCH worse for the gay community, as it created a trigger response of survival in much of America. . This is not a "GOP" thing... a "Democrat" thing or an "any" thing other than a psychological response to an irrational fear of something we just don't really understand as straight people. If you ask evolutionary biologist, they will tell you that such instincts were born of early man who had to hide from animals in caves to avoid being lunch. Those instincts are STILL within us and cause us to respond in ways that later prove to be irrational. In the early days of man, not taking EXTREME caution, could very well cost you your life. The survival instinct is built in our DNA and you can blame our creator for that one. . I am not excusing anyone for perpetuating hate against gay people, just saying that humans are far from perfect, but we have grown as a people. While Ben is a associated with the GOP, he was not in political power looking to deny rights to gay people when Reagan was president. While he is "less tolerant" than many, he is a HELL of a lot more accepting of gays than the vast majority of people 50 years ago.

  63. @Dave Logic Oh my God... are you really going to make that as an argument to say we aren't a free nation? How does it feel to straw-man those of whom you have disagreement and think to yourself... "gotcha"? . Your opening statements about legislative mandates about items we can no longer or must use, are anecdotal evidence of the Constitutional Republic in which we have chosen to live under in this country. Those items are derived from legislation that those in this country either voted for directly or elected the politicians that wrote, created and passed that legislation into law. I am not going to address whether it is or is not a good to have those specific regulations, but in the end, WE as a people are responsible for passing that legislation. Call us stupid for supporting these people, but we decided AS FREE PEOPLE to believe that these changes would be an improvement to our world. If we were lied to by those seeking power or just ignored evidence to the contrary, WE ultimately voted to take those freedoms away. We have speed limits on roads to keep people from doing 55 mph in a school zone.... is that an example of a nation that is not free or is it a common sense law for the safety of children walking to school? Damn it is annoying to dumb down the conversation to address the straw-man argument.... jheez! . As for the 77% of people who voluntarily censor themselves because of cancel culture, those people ARE free... they just fear repercussions of speaking up. Freedom is not "free" and freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences. Cancel culture exists because of POS SJW's who are petrified of actually engaging in discussion with those of whom they have disagreement. Cancel culture is a mob of virtual thugs who use intimidation as a means to force compliance and create a fear of practicing our freedoms. They are exactly the same as a gang of thugs that would hold you at gunpoint to steal your wallet, except they do it within the anonymity of the safety from behind a cell-phone! . Having to address your "arguments" is an exercise in the loss of brain cells.

  68.  @tolstoyed  yes and and no. I would agree that being gay is not a decision, but party affiliation is more akin to how one legislatively supports their values. Those values are generally instilled by parents, other family members and close friends as one grows up. There are certainly some changes to those values due to events in one's life, but I would say the most basic values one has are quite universal. . I would add that Conservatives and Democrats have traditionally shared very similar values, but as mentioned above, the difference is best identified by how one feels those values should be expressed or written into legislation. After all, the purpose of government is to write and enforce laws to protect its citizens. Creating / supporting an infrastructure of roads, police, fire stations and the like is something that a conservative would be MUCH more likely to argue is enough than a Democrat which, as I go on, will become more clear. However, this is where the significant differences lie within the Republican and Democratic parties. . I am going to be quite general here, but I could go back and site a huge number of times when the following was found to be true. Let's take "Affirmative Action" as a VERY good example. The idea, in its conception, was a really good one and would argue that the vast majority of GOP would agree with that statement. The difference between Conservatives and Democrats on this point has become VERY clear over the years since it was implemented. There was most certainly a time when a very large portion of America was bigoted against blacks. While there certainly are still some that feel this way (we have 330+ million people here), those numbers have dropped INSANELY since the civil rights laws of the sixties were enacted. However, there comes a time when one must remove the "training wheels" and ride that bike with the risk of falling. . Affirmative Action today, has become a limitation that is HURTING blacks... YES, it is most definitely hurting blacks. When we as a people continue to support or make laws that say to someone "you need my help to make it in this world, so we are not going to remove those training wheels". At what point do those training wheels prohibit the rider of that bike to becoming a contestant in the X-Games? A: as soon as one is able to ride that bike without them! If you don't give somebody the opportunity to fail and protect them with the "security" of training wheels, they will NEVER, EVER, EVER reach their potential, because those training wheels are indeed holding them back. . If I was to continually remind you, that "you need my help because the the world is against you", you create a person who will ultimately rely on that help and come to feel he or she will absolutely fail without it. So, over the many, many years of Affirmative Action, we get excuses from both blacks that have not been as successful as desired and Democrats that will point to those training wheels and say.... "See.... this is why we need to add an additional set of training wheels to offer more help". If you ever want to crush the human spirit, tell that person you will NEVER make it on your own without my help! . This becomes a circular argument and we have the perpetuation of "help" and one cannot be inspired by success and grab opportunities to achieve ones dreams. If ANYONE has continually had a "safety net", at what point does that person feel he or she has been a success and feel a sense of pride in their own accomplishments? After all, what is so impressive about a tight-rope walker crossing a wire 1000 feet off the ground, were it not for the possibility that he or she would ABSOLUTELY die, should even the smallest mistake be made and fall from that wire? . We can all say what an incredible act of balance and concentration, but if there was a safety net below and that tight-rope walker could not possibly be harmed by falling, exactly how much pride will he or she feel to make it to the opposite building and how many of us would be impressed by such success...? pretty much none!
