  1. @jimmy Younger ... You perfectly exemplify EXACTLY what is wrong with Affirmative Action! The Democrats have never really understood this, but we could at least talk about it in previous years. This is why 1a is the most critical fundamental item in the Bill of Rights and precisely why Regressives desperately want it eliminated ASAP. Since they cannot take direct action to repeal it currently, they just continue to subvert the legality by "suggesting" others censor for the state. . I cannot imagine I will EVER, EVER, EVER vote for a Democrat or ANY one of their policies or legislation at any point in the future. This is sad, because we NEED liberal voices, we just cannot survive the Regressive ones!

Well said, Ms. Pariah :) What so many people just don't understand, in relation to colleges / universities, is how Affirmative Action causes MUCH more harm than good, but not only for the reason you mentioned. When a person, race has zero to do with it, gets into a school / job / promotion that was not earned, he / she is much more likely to fail, because that person does not usually have the skills necessary to fill that position. So, many who have a much higher SAT score are denied access, only to let those who get an artificial boost in their score so they can attend under Affirmative Action (institutionalized... AKA systemic racism). Many of those "gifted" with such access are unable to succeed or at least thrive, so they are MUCH more likely to drop out only to feel worse about themselves for having failed. Care to take a guess who make up the largest number of people in this category...? You guessed it, blacks! Now, had these students been accepted in a less rigorous college, they would be FAR more likely to thrive and later go onto higher education and be ready for it. . So the very thing that was designed SPECIFICALLY to help blacks, is more often than not, causing them to fail and make all of the cultural issues that hold back the black community even worse. The idea of Affirmative Action was a good one, but it was not only implemented incorrectly, but those training wheels should have been removed decades ago! . PS> Love the name, BTW!
