@geofractal Is he able to declassified gov documents as an ex president ? You do know that the presidential records act prohibits ex presidents from possessing any government documents without permission. Violations of this law has a penalty of up to 3 yrs in prison.

@geofractal After months of frustration The national archives finally retrieved 15 boxes from Mar a largo in January. Once they started to sift thru the boxes they discovered classified documents sensitive to national security. Also many documents had been torn up ( another violation of the presidential records act ) Presumably by the Don and taped back together. After discovering the sensitive documents the national archives notified the justice dept. And an investigation was launched. In June the FBI payed a visit to Mar a largo and met with the Don's legal team. They turned over more boxes and signed a statement that no more documents were present on the premises. The rest is history.
