A bipartisan bill. With 3 major republican demands met. A bill that would have shut down the southern border on day one. And the republican lawmakers said no.

@SocraticMutt Over 850k illegal immigrant Apprehensions on the southern border in 2019. 195k in May alone. Over 200k illegal immigrants released into the US in 2019.

@littlebob1261 I'm pure evil.

@lewisboyd1480 What were the Trump border policies Joe stopped ?
2
@alwaysthankfulmidnight You're advocating for an executive order correct ?
2
@strawberry48535 I did Health, happiness and prosperity Are tops in my list. God bless you Joe.
1
@AndrewPriester That's partially true Andrew. The president can write an executive order if he chose to. Which is what a number of republican lawmakers keep saying. But as you said it is congresses duty to introduce the laws. Do I have to remind you of the record this congress has had since it became republican majority ? Joe had already said he would sign the bipartisan bill introduced in the senate. With the current illegal immigrant surge the border would have been shut down immediately after he signed it.

@AndrewPriester What current immigration laws are not being followed ?

@Shanethelawnguy Apprehended Shane.
1
@richardwright5741 3 bipartisan senators believe they do.
1
@fishtexas5548 Nothing changed when Joe took office. With the exception of unaccompanied minors and families with sponsors. Followed the laws as they are written. Just like the administration before him. Despite Andrew's claims.
1
@fishtexas5548 What didn't he do. This administration left rule 42 in place. Every illegal immigrant Apprehensions was returned to country of origin with the exception of unaccompanied minors and families with sponsors.
1
@fenix6297 Democratic congress people that are advocating open borders ? 1st time I've read that comment. Could you list them ?
1
@shelia6870 No he didn't. Title 42 was in place until May 2023 when the CDC declared the pandemic was no longer a national threat.
1
@shelia6870 Title 42 required that illegal immigrant Apprehensions were returned to country of origin. Joe didn't turn back unaccompanied minors and families with sponsors. Remain in Mexico was a mute issue once rule 42 took affect.
1
@fenix6297 So no names of democratic lawmakers that advocate for open borders. If apprehensions reach 5k in a day. The new bill proposes an immediate shutdown of the US borders. During this current surge. The number of illegal immigrants apprehended has been surpassing 5k in a day. That would trigger a border shutdown the moment the bill was signed into law. Or would have if .
1
@fenix6297 Jibberish isn't debunking Anonymous one. Simple math determines whether or not the border will close. And with the current surge numbers. The border would be closed before the ink was dry on the bill.
1
@fenix6297 And still no names of democratic lawmakers that are advocating for open borders.
1
@fenix6297 Wiggle room ? Such as ?
1
@fenix6297 Can only be closed so many days a year ? How many ?
1
@fenix6297 Rule 42 remainded in place until May of 2023 when the CDC deemed the pandemic no longer a threat.. Biden allowed unaccompanied minors and families with sponsors. That was the only changes.
1
@fenix6297 And still no names of democratic lawmakers that advocate for open borders.
1
@fenix6297 And still no names of democratic lawmakers that advocate for open borders.
1
@fenix6297 Circumstances being exceeding the 5k a day correct ? Once the surge declined below the 5k a day the apprehensions would restart ? Correct?
1
@fenix6297 I keep seeing accusation. With no examples to back them up. All I'm reading is a very long winded rant of insults. This could be a teaching moment. I'll assume that isn't why you post.
1
@fenix6297 For example, What are the roughly half dozen Trump Era policies Biden reversed.
