  1. Let me correct you. The French Foreign Legion is a part of the French Army, it's considered an elite unit within the French armed forces, note not an SF or anything like that. The commander over the Legion (COMLE) today is Brigadier General Cyrille Youchtchenko, he was a Platoon leader in 13DBLE in 1995 serving in Djubouti, 1997 he became Captain and was commanding the 3CIE CEV at 4 RE in Castelnaudary. The French President is just like the American President the Commander In Chief but the Legion is not his personal toy like you seem to think, how I know this? Well I served in the French Foreign Legion and I laugh every time I read these myths and BS.
