its normal to look around to see which way you can escape out of a situation. normally if you walk into an unfamiliar building, you would look at least where the fire exits are in case the building catches fire. as for how our kids feel in schools? you voted for people who have purposefully made our schools into soft targets easily hit by anyone.

@HartleySan arming and protecting yourself seems like a better answer than anything you have which is to disarm people and leave them at teh mercy of lunatics while at the same time you push to defund the police.

@BambooScar you are right, you are only law abiding till you're not, i want crazies like you to not be able to drive or walk around on the streets, at any moment you can get behind the wheel of a car and kill innocent people or simply walk down the street stabbing people, lock you up and keep you locked up for everyones safety.

@HartleySan you know what, you are right, America is the only country with this problem, if you ignore the gun murder rate in El Salvadore and the 25,000+ murdered in Mexico yearly by guns, and they dont even allow people to have guns. should we model our country after London England? they dont have this gun problem, of course they have a knife problem to where their murder rate surpassed New York City, using only knives, and their mayor even started pushing "common sense knife laws", imagine the irony where you need to pass common sense knife laws because you suffer from mass stabbing attacks. or maybe Norway, they dont have a gun problem in Norway, but they do have a unique problem of grenade attacks, yes, thats right, instead of getting shot in the face, you get a grenade in the face, last figures from 2020 were over 300 grenade attacks for 2018, go figure. how about start dealing with the criminals instead of trying to attack law abiding citizens. if some ahole goes and rapes a woman we dont go around castrating all men, if some dunce kills people while drunk driving we dont go around taking away other peoples cars, do we?

yes, correct, it can happen to anyone at any time, and it will keep getting worse and worse when you keep pushing laws that make everyone more vulnerable instead of dealing with the problem people themselves. i mean seriously, make a bunch of laws where people can carry their own guns for protection and then wonder why a mass shooter chose your field of helpless sheep to shoot up.

@clpasztor correct, mot of the time you can tell, gunshots are more rythmic, more in sync, while fireworks have more randomness to them, but if its a singular shot then its harder to tell, but you can still tell most of the time.

i call BS, if you fired many guns at the range, then you know the difference between a gunshot and a firework, unless your idea of firing many guns at the range is you fired a bunch of pistols and a bunch of rifles one time once.

yea, guns are the problem, not the guys doing the shootings, just like cars are the problem, not the drunk drivers behind the wheel. maybe you are the problem when you cant figure out what the problem really is.

@OfficialSeth sure, take a written test, no background check, can have multiple felonies and still own one and carry it around whereever.

@OfficialSeth yes, true, you need a license and have the gun registered and have insurance, but you dont need a background check, and multiple felony convictions are a ok for gun ownership.

@OfficialSeth and to top it off, if we regulate guns like we regulate cars, then every time there is a mass shooting we treat it like a drunk driving incident, WE DONT BLAME THE GUN, we blame the shooter.

@OfficialSeth sure, i would agree to make restrictions across the board on ALL your rights and privileges to make it more difficult your you to do something stupid. should we start prohibiting people from publicly speaking if we think they might say something dumb? should we start prohibiting people from voting if we think they will vote for a bad candidate? should we castrate people because we think they might assault a woman? should we take peoples cars away because we think they might drive too fast or drunk? should we lock people up because we think they might do something bad in the future? you have 20,000 gun laws across the US, and somehow you keep talking and talking about doing the same thing over and over again. maybe your solutions to the problem are not working.

@michaelpawlak4785 yes exactly, we keep making cars safer, when we have an accident, same with guns, if a gun keeps jamming or blowing up in peoples hand, we re-engineer the gun to be safer so it doesnt do that. as for making guns more deadlier, same can be said about cars, they are always engineered to be faster and more economical, and they are engineered to be safer for the user, not safer for the pedestrian outside of the car. but here is the real comparison. when someone uses a car to plow through a protest, or a christmas parade killing a bunch of people, do you go off on a tangent about taking away cars? NO YOU DONT, you go after the driver as a criminal. when someone uses a gun to commit a crime what is your typical response? TAKE GUNS AWAY FROM LAW ABIDING CITIZENS. oh, you have 3 DUI's on your record and 1 involuntary manslaughter with a vehicle? thats ok, here is your license, there is a dealership 3 blocks away that will sell you whatever car you want. what? you said a mean word on twitter? thats it, time to take your guns away, you best shut up or we might take away your freedom too. now go to a judge and argue all you want.

@steelcaress we already regulate people who own guns, there are 20,000 laws on the books across the country to regulate gun owners. but yea, please regulate them more, until they get fed up and decide to start regulating you because you obviously havent learned your lesson, let me give you a hint, RvW.
