Why? Stop shoving your beliefs onto other people.

There is simply no interest. Japanese thinking is too practical. Christianity takes a superstitious viewpoint.

Not likely. Americans take it because they like the super natural things that Christianity offers.

A friend at our temple was a Mormon missionary to Japan. He met a Japanese Mormon girl and they got married. another American missionary showed up and stole his wife. My friend then went to Salt Lake to complain and they told him to shut up. He told them that his family had come to Salt lake with Brigham Young and they could stuff their religion where the sun doesn't shine. One of our top theologians Dr. Alfred Bloom had actually been ordained Baptist preacher and went to Japan on a mission. There he converted to Pure Land Buddhism It may be that the first Christian missionaries to show up in Japan may have been in the 8th century. The monks of the Eastern church. Christianity simply never caught on in Japan like it did in Korea.
