Religious belief and how people do in life: Konstantin Kissin of Triggernometry was doing an interview with a Hindu man in Britain, on the street. They were talking about how Hindus in Britain were supporting the Jewish side in the conflict in Gaza, how Hindus and Jews has so much in common: they are small minorities that do very well in school and in life in Britain. Glenn Greenwald said a very similar thing. He had a chart for religion in America, as it relates to economic outcome. Glenn: In America as in Britain, Hindus do very well, almost tie American Jews for top spot in education and income level. Some religions do better than others. What religious beliefs people have seems to have a huge effect on whether they will integrate and succeed in a country, or not. How do we measure this? By marriage rates. They are a very good proxy measure of whether or not a new group is integrating well. When they are integrating well, people inter-marry. Two good signs for America: Alan Dershowitz wrote a book about American Jews having a 60% inter-marriage rate with Christians. So obviously despite the past, American Jews are integrating nicely. For instance both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have family members marrying Jewish spouses. And same thing among Mexican-Americans: they have a very high inter-marriage rate of around 60%, with non-Latinos. Is Islam compatible with democracy and pluralism?
