  1. ​ @fejs-2272 they didn't have to "foresee". They received various intel info, including from the head of the Egyptian Intelligence Service Abbas Kemal (has been replaced recently). Israel ignored him! Never understood why. A rational country would have at least checked that.

  2. Then the IDF should provide credible evidence. Not enough to announce "we found Hamas terrorists"..after a year in Gaza, every time they said there were Hamas in the building, school hospital mosque etc.. Acc. to that there shouldn't be any Hamas left by now

At first Netanyahu even denied to have received this intel info. But it wasn't only the Egyptian. Israel received other warnings. And ignored them all
