The fertility rate in the UK is low because alot British women and women in Europe have bad health in general ( high obesisty rates, smoking, overweight, bad diet, consumption of unhealthy nutrion. Also the sperm health of men in Europe also have decreased for the same reasons aformentioned. The general health of men and women in the UK go down more and more.

@vehicleturningleft ....At leats your honest person because many feel like you. Why should we fund others to have more babies ? When we have to much babies the same western society will say we have ''overpopulation'' when we have less babies then all of sudden their is a ''demographic decline'' and bad for society.

@adw6894 No no what i mentioned also plays a huge role. Yes its the socio-economic factors also play a role. But you study this topic more indepth as i did. You wil see that health issues play a role aswell. There is a increase of women in the west who have harder time to become pregnant, increasing number of men have unhealthy sperm development, which makes it harder to become pregnant aswell for women. Increasing amount of women in the west have to artificially insiminate to concieve a pregnancy and even the the sperm cells have been pre-checked if they are healthy or not. Now in places like Africa female fertility is extreme healthy, alot women can produce 4 to 5 babies per women. In a country like Republic Niger this is the case. Africa is very much known as place where men and women are very healthy ( physically). Due to the much better diet, nutrition, physical exercise, exposure to sun light ( increase of Vitamine D3). There is reason why child fertility is very high in Africa, Asia and very low in Europe.
