  1. The reality is if a young aboriginal person puts their mind to it, they have VASTLY greater opportunities that their non-aboriginal counterpart. A scholarship to the best and most expensive private schools in the land, a Law course at a 'sandstone' university, and onto guaranteed high paying employment in the aboriginal grievance industry.

By the end of it the viewing public had been 100% convinced by Lidia Thorpe that the 'voice' and all its associated stupidity such as 'truth, and treaty' was a really total nonsense, even dangerous idea. The whole point of this endless push is to further empower people like Lidia Thorpe. Someone earning WAY above (a package around $300K) what the average Australian earns, and lives in an inner city designer house that most people would just love to have (it got a showing when she appeared on the ABC's Kitchen Cabinet).

  6. Lidia is right, Indigenous people must determine their own destinies, for themselves, just like everyone else in the country has to. Anyone, regardless of their ethnicity, who thinks they are a 'victim' and is waiting for the 'government' to solve their problems will be waiting a LONG time. To find the only person who can solve their problems is no more difficult than looking in the mirror.
