@osis2321 You conduct yourself on matters of safety, fairness, right/wrong, morally behavior..... based on blind obedience to rules set by someone else? Really? I make those choice guided by my conscious, moral compass, what I believe to be appropriate REGARDLESS of what the law actually says.

I think the reason Novak isn't doing what you suggest is because he truly wants to challenge this stupidity, and make a stand on an important principal. Does he need the money, no. Does he need another trophy in the cabinet, no. Does he need this BS, no ...... So clearly something more important to him than just another tennis tournament is motivating him to take a stand.

Your clearly an intellectual lightweight, the very sort of person unable to see the whole covid thing as nothing other than political theater. And the Novak issue is just part of that political theater, intended to manipulate dumb 'sheep' for political gain, nothing more, nothing less.

@solteris100 Yes, that was the 'logic' of the case against Novak. But that requires a belief on the part of the government that a significant percentage of Australian's are unintelligent sheep prepared to not get vaxed solely because a high profile supremely fit and healthy young tennis player makes that rational decision. That is a ludicrous notion. I don't disagree with the governments assessment that a significant percentage of the Australian population are unintelligent and easily led. Evidence this is the case is the current discussion of 'booster' shots for young children.

There is certainly nothing 'liberal' in terms of the Menzie's notion of libertarian about the current LNP. That is why they need to be punished at the next federal election, with the hope they see the error of their ways and get back to being true 'liberals' instead of just socialists pretending.

It will show the true character of the other top players. I can understand some of the lesser lights who need the money hanging in, but those with comfortable bank balances .... a true test of whether they have any principals.

Why would Novak have needed to be tested any more than any other player? Don't you believe in science. In practice, being vaccinated makes ZERO difference to infection and spread of covid-19. It's been this way since the Delta variant arrived.

Have you considered your comment shows you to be pretty stupid, not Novak. If he has been infected with covid 3 times his level of 'protection' (leaving aside the protection he gets from being fit and healthy) would be superior to yours. That's just a scientific fact.

You wear your stupid ill fitting surgical mask that does absolutely NOTHING (its purpose is just for theater, to instill fear in people), keep 1.5 meters away in a line (when the virus can hang in the air for 2 hours indoors), and be fully vaccinated to stop the spread (when vaccination actually increases spread). Yes, you just follow the silly rules without question and protect yourself and others like a good little unthinking boy.

The issue has nothing to do with being vaccinated or otherwise, nothing to do with errors on visa applications, nothing to do with PCR tests, etc. It, like just about everything associated with covid, is just pure political theater, a mere power/political game, designed to control the masses. This upstart Novak isn't being part of the 'game' so has to be crushed.

Those who have spoken out have had their licence to practice suspended, lost their jobs, been taken down from social media, etc. As such a lot aren't game to say anything out of fear. So we just continue to vaccinate 5 year olds, at ZERO risk from covid .... "to keep them safe", wear stupid ill fitting useless face masks, and kid ourselves that aerosols can't travel more than 1.5 meters indoors. The WHOLE thing is just one BIG political game.

That's what Morrison doesn't seem to understand. He plays to people who will never vote for him e.g. net zero, or rusted on LNP voter 'old farts' e.g "rules are rules" .... and fails to understand a significant percentage of the conservative libertarian oriented base have had a gut full of his stupidity on these issues and will not vote for him again.

Covid was ALWAYS a "political tool". At no time was there ever a justification for the extreme measures that have been done (and just as important what was stopped from happening) around the world, including Australia.

The Morrison government is a COMPLETE pack of fools. Could they possibly think of any better way to smash their changes at the next election (which were already dismal). The whole thing is just political theater, and if they'd had half a brain they would have simply expressed their disappointment he had come to Australia and blame it all on the state Andrews Government. But no, Scotty had to stick his nose in and make this international mess.
