Perhaps you should actually watch the interview, you might actually learn something. What he actually said is Australia would be far better off building our own submarines, relatively smaller vessels suitable for the short range and shallow waters that surround the Australian coastline. We would get 45-50 submarines for the same cost, and ALL the money would stay in Australia, not go straight to a UK or US company.

At first I though I was pretty much on my own thinking the Paul Keating interview was VERY insightful and a lot of critical questions were raised that do need to be answered. So its interesting to see as time progresses quite a lot of support coming for Paul Keating's thoughts.

Shari, as possibly the most lightweight 'journalist' on SkyNews a tip. It isn't wise to highlight your own intellectual shortcomings by personal and vague criticism of an intellectual giant like Paul Keating. If you want to attempt that, do extensive homework first, and don't ask questions that I expect a high school student to ask like the one the so called 'journalists' did today.

As he said, he has a brain. Something severely lacking in the 'national security circle'. Oh experts you may say, like the experts who advised on covid. I'm not a medico yet with my 'brain' I was able to figure from day one the whole covid thing was pure BS. I'm not a 'climate scientist' either.

NO WAY should Australia enter into a conflict over Taiwan between China and the US should that happen. Are young Taiwanese men and women prepared to come and die defending Australia if we were invaded by say Indonesia. Clearly the answer is no. Australia has already paid way to much in dead and injured young men and women, for the 'American Alliance' and its stupid proxy wars that do nothing other than feed its industrial 'war machine'.
