@Prando34 Are your parents and grandparents FULLY vaccinated? Are you FULLY vaccinated? If the answer is 'no' to either question then you immediately have no grounds whatsoever to deny other people their basic rights. If the answer to both questions is 'yes' then a lock-down or otherwise makes ZERO difference to the health of your family. Are you proposing to keep Australia in a permanent lockdown and isolated from the world to reduce community spread? You do understand that vaccinated people still get covid, and still spread it (to both un-vaccinated, as well as vaccinated people). Any reduction in spread is minor, not at all the BS politicians are sprouting. Just look at the UK where 93% of the adult population is effectively 'vaccinated', yet Delta spread is high. This is your future, putting your 'head in the sand' won't change it one zot.

@Prando34 So if you're too young to qualify for the vaccination, that means your under 18 years old. Then why are you worried about catching covid, hardly a health under 18 year old in the world has died from covid? Your response is full of the major flaws (that's just a polite way of saying lie) knowingly being promoted by people like Kerry Chant. And that is that one dose of vaccine will significantly slow the spread of the virus. The UK experience shows it won't. And that one dose offers significant protection. The best science is about 30% protection. There is a VERY good reason it always had to be 2 doses. India has a very low vaccination rate, and people are NOT dying consistent with the claims about Delta. On average 27 thousand people die every day in India., Not only is the 'strategy' (I struggle to call the half brained idea a 'strategy') of Kerry Chant's diverting vaccine AWAY from the highest risk population towards low risk younger people not supported by any science, it is plainly stupid for obvious reasons. It's sole purpose sees to be to hopefully keep the younger population out of hospitals, where they will recover, to hide the fact that the NSW hospital system is a shambles. Instead of significantly boosting hospital capacity for this inevitable situation, the NSW government was quite happy to throw literally billion of dollars to property developers for stupidity like the Sydney Football stadium rebuild, and the relocation of the Powerhouse Museum to Parramatta.

The trouble Jeremy is that when people constantly lie (and gross exaggeration, cherry-picking data, misrepresentation, etc are all just forms of lying) people start to not believe anything you say. The woman under 40 with no other health issues who died would be the VERY first woman in Australia under 50 to have died from covid. The global case fatality rate for her age is 0.1% That is 1 in 1000 (and those would be 95% people with serious underlying health conditions). So the risk of an otherwise healthy people in their 30's dying from covid would be more likely something like 1 in 10,000 (possibly even greater). That's you problem when your 'team' constantly lie, no one can trust anything you say.
