  1. A major reason for recycling is there simply isn't suitable landfill space to dump it all in. The days of just finding any old gully or hole to throw it in and cover it over are well and truly gone.

  2. If Snowy 2 is your 'case study' for pumped hydro, its a total dog. Cost as much as a nuclear power plant, and likely to only every produce a tiny fraction of the electricity. There will be times (dur to major design restrictions) when it won't be able to produce a thing. Basically a total dud,
