  1. The complete lack of 'journalism' in Australia is the real problem. They are the ones who have driven the agenda from Day 1, creating exaggerated fear. It was the media that drove the need for lock-downs, mandatory masks, vaccine passports, etc, etc, etc. Never informing the public, just constantly pushing a seemingly consistent agenda across all media organisations. The politicians have just been able to operate within the environment created by the media.

  2. I can't smell anything but BS coming from the media. NSW (well Sydney and surrounds) is in no better position than Victoria. None. People should reflect on the 'freedoms' Gladys allowed at the 6 million jab mark. A fully vaccinated family was allowed to go to the park for a short picnic. The same is going to happen at 70%, next to nothing.

  3.  @inezm8444  I, and I suspect many others based on observation, have been giving the middle finger right back to Gladys at every opportunity. The parks in my 'LGA of Concern' are full of people playing informal 'team' sports, people having way bigger then 5 picnics everywhere, people are socializing with neighbors at the front gate, people are walking around wearing masks on their chins or not at all, kids are hanging out in large groups down the bottom end of a local park (and its great to see kids being kids). Gladys and her idiots are probably so out of touch they seemingly have no idea what is actually happening.

I'm a strong conservative, and even I agree that the prime time presenters on SkyNews (other than Alan Jones who has been scathing of Gladys) completely lack 'balance'. They are identical to the ABC presenters they so loudly complain about, just with a different bias. The station would be FAR better of with a more balanced view, a willingness to criticize wherever its warranted, and stop pushing their own created tired old 'dramas' e.g antisemitism. They have become so bad the station is hardly worth watching anymore.

  5. Utter crap, just right wing political spin to try and prop up pathetic Gladys and demonize Dan. Both states are equally as bad. I live in Sydney, can't travel more than 5 kilometres from my home, supposed to wear a mask just to walk around my suburb. Hardware and nurseries effective shut so nothing to do at home, barbers closed .... yes life is just wonderful! And clearly if people listen to what Gladys and Chant ACTUALLY say, 'freedoms' at 70% will depend on case numbers. As such there is ZERO change of travel for Sydney people to the regions at 70% double dose. All that is going to happen at 70% is you'll be allowed to get your hair cut local, and you may be able to go to a local restaurant operating at limited capacity. That's it.

  7. Unfortunately the person you're describing has already left parliament. Had Tony Abbott still been PM I don't have a single doubt the situation would have been handled VASTLY better. But we can't roll back time, and the public is now getting what the public wanted (seemingly). Pathetic weak spin merchants and show ponies with next to zero guiding principals. People who will do anything, say anything, as long as it keeps the media happy.
