The number of infections means NOTHING. Singapore has over 23,000 cases and 20 people, mostly very elderly had died. And on your point about a TINY VIRTUALLY NON EXISTENT risk to someone visiting their mother, WTFAY to tell someone's mother or their children what they can or can't do. That is solely up to them to make that decision. Believe it or not, the average person is way more intelligent than you seem to be

In life I've generally found you ultimately get what you deserve. If people aren't prepared to simply defy these idiot politicians on something that couldn't possibly be policed, then they really can't complain. If someone told you the meek will inherit the earth, most likely came from someone already running the show.

@frankbelzunce1395 Pointing out your talking unfounded alarmist rubbish is not personal, it just a fact. Do you track the number of new Influenza cases every winter, and when they enviably rise around September freak out? NO. People like you, the media, and the weak politicians who dance to the media's tune, and are now keeping up a pretense to try and save face are the enemy. And if I were running things I would not put lives at any cost first. Government have NEVER done that. Good government makes balanced decisions everyday. We don't spend Trillions making crash proof roads, we don't allow every life improving drug onto the PBS, we don't provide life lengthening health care at any cost. FFS we don't even feed people in aged care homes half decent food.

@frankbelzunce1395 113 reported cases, so what? A meat worker cut his finger (trust he's ok) and got tested while he was at the hospital. Positive. So they went around to the meat works and tested all the workers and found a fair few of them, also with no symptoms, also tested positive. THATS IT, no one was sick, no one died, a mild bug had been circulation around the employees at the meat works for a couple weeks. Causing less problem than the common cold. And you think that justifies some clown keeping million of people out of work????
