What they won't say about "people in hospital with covid-19" is the number of people who were taken to hospital solely because they were struggling from covid symptoms, verses those who tested positive when attending the hospital for some other medical reason, or picked it up while in hospital for another medical reason. Up to 50% of people reported in the UK as being in hospital 'with covid' may have been picked up as part of routine testing at their time of admission for another medical reason.
