The LAST person to seek advise from on loosing weight is a doctor. How many fit and health health professionals do you see? It's all about educating yourself on the right foods to eat. Forget fads, drugs, counting calories (that one id pure BS). It's all about sugar and carbohydrates. How much sugar is there in a glass of orange juice? Try 8 tea spoons, about the same as a glass of Coke.

@jimlofts5433 Hi Jim, good to see a low carb diet is working for you, as it will. That's all people really need to do. Doing weights a couple times a week at a minimum is good to build a bit of muscle which will speed up the bodies metabolism. Combine that with a focus on eliminating sugar and carbs ..... and the weight will just fall off. If people want to be really serious, only two meals a day. No reason for an early breakfast, which for most people is just a pile of sugar and carbs. First meal about 10am. Then an early dinner. Leaves a long fasting break between the dinner and the first meal of the day.

@jimlofts5433 Hi Jim, sounds like your well on top of things. About the only other suggestion not covered is a handful of almonds a day. There is plenty of mainstream science to verify the benefits. Not only are they good for the vascular system, they provide a bit of healthy bulk in the form of a nice snack. I just buy natural almonds, the big bag cheap ones from wollies or coles and then put them on a tray and stick in the over on 50C for a day or more to dry them out more and make them crunchier. Makes then nicer I reckon. Store in airtight jar. A good size handful a day is pretty spot on to the amount used in clinical trials.

It's NOT reduce eating. It's totally eliminate all foods with a high sugar and carbohydrate content. That includes alcohol, cakes, bread, pasta, many fruits e.g. grapes, etc.,

If people are eating the wrong foods, they can exercise till the cows come home and they won't loose much weight. Yes exercise, but most importantly get rid of all alcohol, sugar (and foods with sugar in it e.g sauces), and all high carbohydrate foods eg. pasts, pizza, bead, cakes, potatoes, etc.
