  1. It's NOT just the Greens saying cut the gas off. It's clear Labor policy to not support new gas fired power plants and effectively ban all new gas developments. And it in't just a 'transition' fuel. The need to underpin a largely renewables network with gas (or coal/nuclear) will be a permanent future requirement for when 'the sun doesn't shine and the wind doesn't blow'. The idea that this can be achieved by batteries in a major industrial landscape is laughable.
