I note in so many responses the line 'wise in hindsight' to diss anyone critical of the extreme lockdown measures. This is a complete rewrite of facts. Right from the very start there was no shortage of credible 'expert' opinion promoting a whole range of alternative views on how to deal with the virus. I know they existed because I read many of them. One example, the British Health Minister just had to utter the words 'herd immunity' to be completely smashed by the media. Just the mere mention of the words was enough to cause media and scientific 'outrage'. . All the alternative views were completely smashed by a seemingly coordinated effort to allow only one way to be adopted. And the media, including Sky News were absolutely complicit in allowing this one and only approach to be given any credibility. Anyone putting forward alternative ideas was instantly branded a 'crack pot', and their views deliberately misrepresented as 'dangerous'. . The wise in hindsight line just doesn't wash. Politicians deliberately chose a particular course of action from a range of available options. History will be a harsh judge on whether they got it right. I personally think they f'd up big time.

@GovernYourself Your certainly right that Australian public health bureaucrats weren't making any original decisions based upon local circumstances. They were doing EXACTLY the same things at the exact same time as their overseas counterparts. They simply looked for some trivial excuse e.g. Bondi Beach, to justly doing it. Clearly they were operating in a coordinated method.

@GovernYourself You can probably add one more to your list, the video produced by Bill Gates in April 2015 predicting EXACTLY what would happen. First time you watch it you think this guy is a genius, Bill knowing down to minute detail how the future was going to pan out. Even knowing it would not be a deadly stop the victim in their tracks virus like SARS, but a rather benign one with lots of asymptomatic carriers to easily spread it. Now you have to think, just WAY to much of a coincidence.
