The Flu "not as virulent as Covid-19" in an aged care sector? What a stupid statement. Influenza and its associated pneumonia kills around 4000 people in Australia each and every year, most aged care residents (or equivalent in home care settings). So far Covid-19 has killed a reported 800 people in Australia. As you don't seem very smart, that's one fifth the number of people who die EVERY year from Influenza. Influenza is a FAR greater killer or aged frail people. When the total of people who have died from Covid-19 reached 4000 then you'll be able to say its about the same.

@Ishlacorrin You may want to check your facts. And from your response your also don't know a lot about medicine. It's widely regarded the number of Influenza related deaths per year in Australia is around 3000-4000. The actual number you are quoting is nothing other than the number of death certificates, tracked by the bureau of stats, where the attending doctor wrote Influenza as the cause of death. One doctor may write Influenza, another in the EXACT same situation may write viral phenomena. The simple fact is the person died from Influenza complications and so the true number always requires some educated assessment. Professionals agree this to be around the 3000-4000 mark per year. Influenza and phenomenon are so interrelated in most jurisdiction eg. the UK and the USA do not even try to separate them out and report them combined. Influenza is by FAR the major cause of phenomena. Around 100,000 people in England (not the whole UK) die each and every year from Influenza complications. That annual number of deaths from Influenza is VASTLY more than the current number of recorded Covis-19 deaths (currently 41,000 for the whole of the UK)

Did this clown really just say something as stupid as that, trying to defend what must be the final word in the Covid-19 hype. Deaths in aged care are 1000 less this year than the same time last year. That IS the end of the story to any half-intelligent person. Any 'explanation' that infection control is just 'better' is just another way of saying it was shit house in the past and we didn't give a crap about the 4000 people who died each and every year from Influenza.
