  1. Jacki, let me explain it to you. The activist class behind 'the voice' are now no longer interested. The only real goal was the national unelected 'House of Lords' (the voice) to which these activists would appoint themselves. From there they would have been able to control nearly every facet of government and the public service. Everything else e.g. regional and local 'voices', and helping aboriginal on the ground, was just pure spin in order to attain the desired prize. They NEVER had any interest in grass roots issues, with or without 'the voice'.

  2. At some point people are going to have to face up to the fact that the problems in some situations can NEVER be fixed. There is no solution. Put a group of low socioeconomic level people of just about any race in a place with no economic foundation, in the middle of 'nowhere', with no real purpose , and their only means of survival being government welfare ..... and they too will quickly become near totally dysfunctional. A decision for some to 'stay on country' is condemning them to a life of poverty. Staying there means the same outcome for their children, and their children's children. All over the planet, for thousands of years, people have had to move when a place was no longer economically viable. At some point, people are going to have to face up to this reality.
