Comments by "John Woodrow" (@johnwoodrow8769) on "‘Outrageous’: Andrew Bolt slams Scott Morrison’s ‘bizarre’ secret ministry" video.
If you actually watched SkyNews you'd be aware that Andrew Bolt has actually been HIGHLY critical of Morrison for quite some time.

@timjohnun4297 SkyNews is worth watching, if only to understand the conservative point of view. I equally watch the ABC to understand the woke left perspective. Only understanding all sides of a debate can someone make an informed decision.

Hate to rain on your parade. But a CEO giving out expensive gifts to executives in order to get around the formally defined and documented bonus system (signed off by the remuneration committee of the Board) is NOT a common or legitimate corporate practice.

@marcomarcon5802 The cost of the watches in totally immaterial. She simply didn't have authority to make such a purchase as a work around to the formally documented and approved by The Board bonus system. In fact she had been given strict instruction by The Chairman to comply with the bonus system. These Executives would have received tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars bonuses if they achieved their annual formally documented and approved targets. If the small business you refer to was your own, you can do whatever you want with your own money. NO CEO has authority to spend shareholder or taxpayer money as if was their own. They must comply with the rules, just like every other employee. In fact, as they are expected to set the standard, it is even more critical they strictly comply.

@marcomarcon5802 My take is you really don't know a lot about the matter. She wasn't really punted because of the watches. That was just the legal method used to justify it. She was punted because of her arrogance and hostility to the relevant Senate Committee (members from both sides of politics). She considered herself about scrutiny by the 'shareholders' representatives of this taxpayer owned organisation. She was treating them with utter contempt. She even told them stupidly in one inquiry they had no authority to question her. How stupid can this woman really be. THAT is why she was shown the door when an opportunity arose.

@frankiemorgan8056 Yep, $20K she had no authority to spend, had been specifically directed by her superiors not to undertake such an activity, and would have been in clear breach of both the organisations remuneration and expenses policies. You talk as if her was her own private own business, rather than her just being an employee, subject to all the rules and expectations of the organisation.

Morrison gave the green light to business to impose mandatory vaccinations on their employees if they wanted. The result was tens of thousands of employees loosing their jobs, often continuing to this day. Consider this current matter in that context (there are plenty more to choose from, including what state premiers did) and surely people can realise they are again just being manipulated by the political/media class. It's a complete non issue, there are REAL and serious issues from the past that had massive consequences (not just some hurt feelings of a few politicians) that need to be investigated to ensure they are NEVER repeated.

@timjohnun4297 You don't watch SkyNews .... yet you know exactly what the various presenters cover each night??? You do realise what such a statement implies? Try taking through your arse.
