Unfortunately if you think the average Australian is focused on "climate change, anticorruption commission, and respect for women's issues" it is you who are completely out of touch. They are actually interested in the cost of living, house prices, job security, traffic congestion, etc, etc. The things in your 'list' don't even get a thought. To even suggest that women need special consideration is patronising. The vast majority of men and women are concerned about exactly the same things.

@glennmaillard5972 You seriously think the people who live in the teal electorates represent the thinking and values of 'average Australia'? Those people hold the majority in utter contempt.

@glennmaillard5972 Clearly you don't understand the concept of an 'average'. It means the bulk in the middle. The rest of your comment, I haven't a clue what you are rambling on about, and probably you don't either.

Your theory is unfortunately totally devoid of facts. The Liberal party has been most successful in recent times when it was lead and driven by VERY conservative leaders e.g. John Howard and Tony Abbott. Tony Abbott was able to secure a massive victory over the 'progressive' Rudd/Gillard/Rudd debacle. From that massive win by Abbott, the 'moderate' Malcom Turnbull was able to reduce that lead to virtually nothing. Morrison spent the last 3 years trying to appease the woke left and lost office. The simple facts are that a conservative right wing Liberal Party can be highly successful. Moving to left just leads to defeat. The NSW Government should expect to loose office at the next state election because of people like Matt Keen. I'll vote Labor just to put him out of office.
