  1. Luckily it doesn't seem any where near as bad as the 1949 Landes forest fire which resulted in 50,000 hectares being destroyed and the death of 82 people. Still considered the worst European forest fire EVER. And all this before atmospheric CO2 levels had material increased and the implied 'climate change' of the current fire.
