  1. It's not 'just' a gas fired power station. If the country plans to run on 85% 'renewables' an extensive backup dispatchable base-load power source is mandatory, and that is gas. Without it, the already questionability feasibility of a high percentage renewables becomes certain failure. P.S. Please spare me the BS South Australia and the ACT already run on 100% renewables. Both are plugged into coal fired plants using a bloody great big interstate 'extension cord'.
