Don't allow yourself to be caught out by fake news, which Sky News seems to be pumping out by the bucket load during this virus problem. I can find no such claims of ready for roll-out by September from the team working on the vaccine. Such a date seems totally opposite of what prudent safety testing would require. I suggest you actually inform yourself as to why any vaccine takes so long to test before it is considered both effective AND more importantly, safe. While you're at it, check out how many vaccines there are for other strains of corona virus. Common cold would be a good start if you think they have't previously made a serious attempt.

@MattH-l3i Pure semantics. It will NOT be ready for ready for distribution, let alone mass produced and rolled out, by September. I suggest you do a little research on why a vaccine take 12-18 of testing to determine both its effectiveness and SAFETY. Then you might understand why proper testing cannot be simply bypassed because of some current urgency. This is not just anti-vax conspiracy stuff. The potential to over-hype the bodies immune system so it starts attacking itself, or allowing other virus an easier path to enter healthy cells are mainstream concerns that have to be THOROUGHLY tested, otherwise you can potentially make matters worse, much worse. And all this takes TIME. Current raising of hopes of a fix in a few months is all to do with getting research funding, nothing to do with realistic health outcomes.

Your question "can people develop immunity" is a good example of the deliberate misinformation on the virus being circulated by MSM. Just a few days age headlines 'WHO says no evidence of immunity from catching the virus". Total deliberate misinformation. Yes the statement is 'technically' correct as insignificant time has passed for full scale studies to establish the necessary EVIDENCE. As equally accurate would have been a headline "no evidence exists that no immunity is gained after catching the virus". Just about every expert asked should individuals expect to develop a natural immunity after catching the virus answers they expect so. Just an uncertainty regarding how long that immunity will last, which obviously only time will tell.
