Gary Hargraves talking absolute crap. NSW ICAC has worked extremely well. If not for ICAC Eddie Obede would still be running the place, probably with soon to be declared corrupt Gladys in his pocket. Both the media and government internal processes completely failed to do their jobs in both instances, so the public have ZERO awareness of problems which can be just swept under the carpet. An ICAC is the only way the public can have confidence on what is really occurring in government. The media long ago gave up any role in that.

You seemingly seem to have forgotten all the others, including Gladys and her boyfriend. Gladys WILL be found to have acted corruptly by failing to comply with her legal responsibilities when ICAC hands down its decision.

@shooterdownunder If you think a determination of 'corrupt behaviour' by NSW needs to be tested in the Supreme Court (in ANY court) you clearly know nothing about the subject. The determination of 'corrupt behaviour' by ICAC does NOT have to satisfy a criminal standard. That Gladys failed to comply with the Ministerial Code of Conduct is 'corrupt behaviour' under the NSW ICAC Act and there is NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER she failed to do that. You need to stop listening to spin merchant supporters of corrupt power figures like Alan Jones, Graham Richardson.

@shooterdownunder The reality is you know nothing about the role of ICAC, the relevant legislation, the indisputable facts surrounding the Gladys case, or the facts of other high profile cases that media hacks like Alan Jones falsely and endlessly claim have no basis when they do (Murray Kear). If Murray Kear hadn't resigned as SES Deputy Commissioner he would have been terminated for misconduct. The crown prosecutor Margaret Cunneen DID coach her son's girlfriend on how to avoid a drink driving charge, it was a pure legal technicality that allowed her to escape that issue.

@shooterdownunder All you done so far, is convince me you know absolutely nothing about ICAC, the legislation under which it operates, its role, and whether it is effective or otherwise. My guess is you are just parroting people like Alan Jones and Graham Richardson. People who support powerful friends corrupt activities, or directly prosper themselves, from corrupt behaviour.

@shooterdownunder And in NSW the ICAC works very well in practice. The reality is you probably haven't the slightest clue what it does on a day to day basis. Contrary to the spin merchant critics like Alan Jones and co, ICAC inquiries are NOT routinely conducted in public. Only VERY high profile cases of significant public interest are (this is spelt out in the legislation) and this requires the approval of the ICAC head. This is only done AFTER a private investigation has been conducted to establish a case exists.

@shooterdownunder I KNOW you're only understanding of ICAC comes from people like Alan Jones. You know nothing about the real FACTS of those cases that people like Jones constantly lie about.

@shooterdownunder Well your research is crap. If you are defending Gladys you are defending cronyism and corruption in government.
