For me, it seems more democratic because people are quite different across the country and have different views but if you look at the system of the US or UK for that matter, you only really have two choices whiles all the rest are wasted votes, basically the system more or less forces voters on one or the other with two party systems which ends up getting people to vote for many things they want but many things they don't want because of lack of choice. The system isn't perfect in Germany but given the choice, I would take their system any day over the US and UK system which groups people into two camps which just isn't how a lot of the public thinks but the system more or less pushes them in that direction.
