Religion divides seem to be based on wealth than anything else, basically, richer countries having less religion compared to poorer countries and the irony is that we see that in the west with countries like the Republic of Ireland that is slowly becoming less religiose with them becoming more modern, that seems to be the theme around the world, the exception being the US which seems like a weird nation when it comes to religion but even there, you can see the dividing lines from rich states to poorer ones, richer ones tend to have less religion in them. Basically, it seems like giving people more wealth is slowly killing religion.

For me, there isn't western and eastern European, we're just European in the end and I don't see the point in creating dividing lines between us which is what it does. Now don't get me wrong, there is a divide with the western countries not being in the Soviet Union at all in the past and the western countries being much richer but these lines are slowly being removed as time goes by and with any luck in the longer run, western and eastern Europeans won't see a dividing line between our people as it's artificial in nature and doesn't need to be there. Still it's interesting to see what people think as western and eastern European with and without a map.

@Paerigos Depends which country you are lol, but either way, GDP per capita is not a good indicator of wealth, I've seen enough of that on my travels.

@felicepompa1702 Pretty much that, the cost of living is usually much cheaper in poorer countries and GDP per capita goes on the basis that money is shared out evenly, most of us knows that isn't the case at all, the irony being, the more billionaires and millionaires in a country, the less the money is shared out among it's population, probably explains why the US and the UK to a less degree have so much poverty and inequality even thought according to GDP per capita numbers, they are doing fine.
