This is politics 101, the moment someone is seen as a threat, rivals to them start digging up any kind of dirt they can find on them to try and discredit them, this always happens in politics and it happens a lot with the right wing media to push their own agenda. Now I'm not saying she's not done anything wrong but it was a given that more dirt would come out on her and the party as she becomes more of a threat, we see it all the time, especially in the UK and US. This is also what is wrong with politics today, too much is based on leadership roles and not enough on policies that actually matter.
