  31.  @davidpaterson2309  I ( mostly ) agree. But we have a representative democracy in name only. The two party FPTP system favours the parties themselves. The one who gets away with the biggest lies wins. But we are not likely to get PR any time soon so we are stuck with a self serving political class who, when they are out of office are snapped up by lobbying interests or banking corporations etc. Portugal has a PR system yet still managed to get a majority this time after hung parliament, so they are able to do as they please and they are the smuggest of the smuggies because of it. So what's the answer ? It's all academic because nothing will change until the people demand it or not as the case may be.
