@alistairmurray626 I think it was about 2.3 billion several years ago. But whoever brought it to light was not well received and it's never mentioned now. Pity.

@alistairmurray626 I can't find the cost nationally to the NHS aka British taxpayer, but there was an article in the Daily Mail ( Mail Online ) 7th July, 2018 with some terrible statistics. Former Labour MP Ann Cryer and Tory MP for Shipley Philip Davies have both condemned the practice. Incredibly, the WHO says that attempts to stop consanguineous marriages are undesirable and inappropriate.
