Those kinds of measure were tried in my country and it only made it worst with investors just buying, no rental and then speculating. The more government meddles the worst it gets.

@PHSG1999VALENTIN50 that kind of thinking slows the market, making the problem worst. No money - no build - no houses.

That's an easy one, buy ur own property and voilá, no landlord.

Limited space to build and regulation for safety. China on the other hand had a lot of land to build (they allowed building on farm land) and none really had to follow safety regulation thus dreg builting as they say. Those huge high rises are falling apart in many places.

Where I live that would be a finding as u can renovate urself, using ur 2 hands. I'm renovating mine and it was 250 k plus renovation cost and for my area it's actually a good deal as average things go around 400k or 500k.

@@itsmealex588 russia doesn't receive large amounts of migrants, in rus case it's nominal in comparisson to it's size. Romenia has a brain drain problem, meaning the young are leaving, there's ur reason to home ownership, there isn't much demand for young looking to buy cause their goal is out of country. Cuba has crumbling buildings where it's a nornal occurance of people dying under rubble or opting to live on the streets to avoid death but u fail to mention that. Russia has housing issues with lack of toilets and proper heating sistems. Rotten houses abandoned is the rule a bit everywere. Moscow and St Petersburg are exception but russia is the biggest country on earth and obly 2 cities are up to european standarts which says it all. U were saying?

Safety regulations are necessary, no need for tofy dreg or papper houses like usa. Europe is strict in building regulation but the end result is safe and long lasting houses.
2
That would be so if europe didn't have in the end of last century governments building affordable housing and then the stop in the last 20 years.

@@itsmealex588 that was done in cuba, soviet union and also didn't work.

@@itsmealex588 1. Russia rotten houses isn't over supply 2. Central asia is as scarcely populated as russia (the reason is the same, ww2 losses of young men, soviet times starvation etc) so that's not even a good pool to look for people. 2. If u don't know about toilets u sure no nothing about housing market. 3. There isn't much if any demand for romanian houses (despite this rent is also going up in romenia) thus that's the reason of not having such home crisis, nothing related to past. 4. A lot of european countries have low price apart and houses, that's the definition of social housing. That didn't stop housing crisis and thus that can't count on influence in romenia house market either. 5. Cuba is in the situation it is due to castro doing. Usa didn't block other countries from trading with cuba, that's just the lame castristo excuse. Cuba was once a sugar exporter but present time has to import sugar as it can't produce cause state run farms don't work, that's the sum of it. Cubans are also leaving as soon as they can. To be continued...

@@itsmealex588 russia is way way bigger than itally so it's a bad comparisson, 10% migrants for the sheer size is as I previously stated nominal, aka, doesn't count. As pt, spain and italian youth leave for high skilled jobs around schengen, same way germans french etc enter - that's the end result of the union. Pt, spain and italy for their size receive more than their needs in migrants and are already very well populated, hence housing crisis. Facts always superior to commue feelings I'm afraid.
